Cool

Install complete, took just under 2.5 hours!

The shifter has notchy (set up at 8 turns out) but very positive throws, return springs are forceful, so no chance of missing 2-3 shift, throw is even shorter than it was before. The application of the Dynamat even cut out a bunch of the gear whine from the notoriously noisy Tremec trans, so I hear more bassy exhaust in lower gears

As others have said--MGW hit the mark on this one. No doubt about it.

There is more sound introduced when shifting the gears, but it is a very solid, "quality assured" sound, as opposed to the more tinny, flimsy factory sound.

The only time I noticed any increased vibration was when decelerating w/o throttle in 2nd gear coming down from 4000RPM or so...nothing out of control, just a little more vibration--nothing audible, as the Dynamat does its job well!

I'm very pleased so far! I'll see how it does on the road course next weekend!

Installed mine today too ! Didn't notice how long it took. Install was a breeze. Had help and pointers from TacoBill himself he was helping LEO_06GT lay down a center stripe at the same time. Didn't even have to look at the directions, Bill was directing and I was working.

I knew it would be a better piece when I opened the box. Now after driving the car it's night and day different from the Hurst. It's so much better in every aspect. the 3rd -> 2nd downshift was a nightmare with the Hurst it wasn't even funny, now it's all very natural. This doesn't even count the regular 1->2->3 shift under speed. No problems or lockouts. The smoothness in which I can upshift at WOT, not powershifting, is second to none. I am highly impressed. Today's install sold another one to a Saleen owner out here too, he liked what he saw that much

George Thank You !

Brian, good for you, glad you like it and find it as wonderful as the rest of us. It really is very solid and makes a 5sp fantastic to play with.

I have to say Brian your Mustang is really shaping up to a great looking stang. You've added some really great mods! It really, really looks incredible Brian!

Have fun driving that beast lol Beast is a good thang here lol

Thank you very much. I appreciate that. I am pretty well done with exterior mods and as far as the "look" is concerned.

One of the nagging things to change, for me, was the shifter. Driving today even more since my last post I absolutely love the shifter. Everything is so solid and well made. Shifting is a breeze now and it's something I don't have to plan or think about I can now just do it. Like it was supposed to be.

Yup, exactly what I said. The amount of freedom it allows you to have to concentrate on other aspects of driving like throttle control is awesome!

Those ***** are plain crazy looking! I don't know what to think, definately unique. The angle on it looks perfect like getting torque on the 1-2 shift will be no problem. Have you driven with it yet, George?

MGW Upgrade Kit

I didn't think My MGW shifter could be ANY better - I was wrong. I just installed the upgrade kit with the new spring, bushings & shift arm. I set it to 6 turns - The shifter is A+. I waited this long to install the kit because I just completed installing my own personal two post lift and wanted this to be the first job I did on the lift. Like said, it was grade A before, now it's A+! George, you da man!

The shifter in the picture above isnt the "exact" production run correct? You said you were(correct me if Im mistaken) going to alter the shifter to fit the shift boot snug. Or am I making things up? Cant wait to order my MGW shifter + shift handle. Man, if only money grew on trees.
