Heat Shields for you 05-07 Mustang Intakes
I'm not griefing him, I actually missed this entire thing until a couple weeks ago. I can see both sides though. If you have been waiting for this for a very very long time I imagine it's frustrating. On the other hand the guy's obviously busy and things take time. Money has to be made and it's not a high priority.
Just because it's not important to you doesn't make it unimportant to someone else. A lot of people on here aren't doing performance mods all the time, many of us are trying to achieve a certain look or just perform well on the car show circut.
Cut him some slack - he's working on it, and it's not a "mission critical" part anyway.
I'm done. Every company has a right to produce product that have a higher profit margin. They've done this with their move to work on the H pipe for the American Racing Headers. I guess if I had a company producing car products I'd also work on the go fast products with a higher net yield than some stamped shields.
Honestly, if the price is right on the H-pipe Catted ARH I'll probably go with them next year when I put in my super charger.

ARH H Pipe
I read on another forum where a guy from NY drove to ARH facility and has already had the H pipe installed for "fitment". It seems they couldn't wait for these guys to get the job done either. They're trying to introduce a product that a lot of people have been waiting for and it looks like it's ready, no thanks to CR.
Actually, Nick from American Racing just happened to be planning a test fitment for Tuesday on his own. If I hadn't had started the group purchase in the first place there wouldn't have been an H Pipe option? I called to get one for test fitment, at the same time he was already arranging to test fit with somebody else. Nobody dropped the ball. There was no "waiting to get the job done". This H pipe option came about in the last two weeks. Where are you getting your facts?
American racing wasn't trying to introduce any product... we came to them with the idea, and they made it. No need to bash until you have the correct info. You have no idea what has been going on behind the scenes between us and ARH.
Thanks

I am sure he does not CR... Most of us are just sitting waiting on real results. Good results BTW!!!

Thank you Scott! All the credit is due to American Racing for making amazing products, though. Those guys make some serious components!
As for the heat shield, you'll be thrilled to know our engineer is bringing a new prototype over next week. Thanks for the patience everyone! I will get pictures over when they get here!

Not too good. It's a tough construction... here was my post from before:
Every time we've gotten a prototype done, the fitment has been off, or the production costs would be ridiculous for a short run.
We're trying to work it out as fast as possible because we know they're being expected. At the same time I can't let it consume our business over a shield we'll ultimately sell 10 of and be done with. It may never happen, it also could happen next week. We're working on it, and when it fits, and doesn't cost a fortune, we'll go from there. Nobody wants to spend 120 dollars on a heatshield for cosmetics. The intricacy of the C&L heat shield calls for so many bends, and is impossible to keep from rattling with the lines up front.
After all of the testing I've found actually the roto-molded plastic shield from C&L is of more complication that one would think by looking at it.

It's a **** hard design. There's no easy way to do it, and it has to be molded, or cut and welded in quite a few pieces. We're still trying, here.
