Couldn't sleep..... too excited about having some time off I guess. Started my day watching movies at 4am, sippin' on some Crown Royal & coke at 8am, and began cooking at 10am. Ah, what a day.....

Hey, that's my line.

As you can see I gave you Kudo's. The mods would have just "blanked out" what I was going to call him. Going to head to the garage in a few hours to start on the delete plates. Have to make a Lowe's trip first to get a new flouresent light for the garage. Must have lost a ballast in the one right over the car where I will be working. I really hate going anywhere near that place today. Going to put those loudmouths on this weekend? After all it's closing in on a year since you have put out an exhaust vid.

Larry, yes I was talking about the extensions. With the parts you have available I think I would just make my own, might need some type of heat resistant tubing or something to slip over them.

Well the Steeda delete plates are on and Brenspeeds undated tune is loaded. This is a very easy mod that took me about 3 hrs total but I spent at least 1 hour cleaning things. The only issue I had was my friggin Craftmans inch/lb torque wrench took a puke and I had to run to a friends to borrow his. I believe that torque wrenches are NOT cover under the Craftmans warranty on tools.
However, I took her for a spin and can say that I noticed no loss of any torque down low but for sure noticed she pulls harder at WOT. I also did a couple of 0-60 romps with the traction control off and while I know it is cold out I have never turned those 275 Nittos thru 1st, 2nd and a tiny chirp out of third like that before. Remember I have an auto. Definitely a worthwhile mod for $150 bucks. We will see in the spring at Brenspeeds dyno day if my butt is lying to me or not.

I wish it was really possible to determine how much hp the Spydershaft really freed up. I was always told that it took 10rwhp to gain .1 tenth in the 1/4 mile in mustangs. I have seen claims of .2-.3 tenths quicker times with this driveshaft. That would lead you to believe it was really freeing up 20-30 rwhp. It's a shame it can't really be measured accurately. But in October Tom's car put down 20 rwhp more switching back to the stock rims and tires at Brenspeed's dyno day. So I saw first hand how much added rotational weight suks up horsepower.

Yep, and both of our cars had, what, around a 20 minute cool down after driving up there? I know for a fact that didn't help my air-to-air intercooler.

If I had a proper cool down I'm sure I would not have gained atleast 2 or 3 additional lb/ft of torque Darrell......

Scott,
Glad your install went well, except for your torque wrench. I'd been thinking about those deletes as well, but wanted to let you be the guniea pig on the install first Good to hear you didn't notice any loss of low end torque, might have to add those back to my to-do list. I'll still do the headers first
