Well...It seems Darrell is feeling better. Glad to hear that Darrell. I think. Tom is right since I am already running an off road pipe I might only see about 10 hp since the loss of the cats account for the other 10hp that longtubes gain. But I heard a guys 06 with headers and offroad pipe and I loved it. That is what got me on this kick again. I know a driveshaft would make the car spool up quicker but since I never go to the track I'm not sure I would really feel it. Maybe I should just save my money for a set of cams. Decisions...decisions. Heck my last mod is still in the trunk. Maybe I should get the delete plates on first. My biggest problem is I want more than my wallet can handle. But I guess we all have that issue.

That's impressive. Nice vid Darrell.
Be sure to post after you get those delete plates in.
Scott,
I don't know what it is either,I've got a ride I've been wanting for over 20yrs, but there is always more I'd like to do
It's worse than drugs!
Tom,
I had an idea on your rocker stripes, if it hasn't been mentioned yet; GT/SC.
I still think the white rallystripes with your blue is the best combo, but here's a few, either a dark silver or dark/royal blue. I've not seen that before.

Hi Rich, join in the commentary! You're from the midwest at heart anyway right!
I think I'm gonna stay with white stripes. Just not sure what to do on the sides..... I like the S197 GT because, well, that's what the car is. But, I still want to change something on the car appearance-wise. I kinda like your idea GT/SC. Who knows.... can't decide.

Well, I think I would probably agree with Tom on the HP of headers versus drive shaft. If you are planning on adding sometype of power adder then I would say yes. The ceramic on the MAC headers has held up well and the fit and finish is great on them. I was under the car this summer and did not see any wear under either, the only rust is on the bolts that clamp the Prochamber to the headers. The install took about 12 hours, (that included being very careful with the headers so we didn't scratch the coating) but I know I could do it in half that time after doing it once. That included some stupid little time consuming mistakes and just figuring some things out. I do like the sound of my car when I get on it. Very nice rumble at cruising speeds.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood morning Midwest members! I just got home, sitting here in the home office paying some bills, ordering some Christmas for me, and watching a video or two! Have a great Sunday and save some room for all the turkey this week!

[quote=tom281;1048507]Did you get to ride in that car Scott?
Hey Tom,
No I did not. It belongs to a friend of a guy I work with. We all met up at Fricker's on Thursday night and I heard it pull away and run down the street. I am not even sure what mufflers he was running. You could hear more distinct exhaust pulses with his headers. Sounded awesome.
I like Larry's idea of GT/SC for a rocker panel display. I think that would look good. We are all nuts I think.
What I really want is to get my car over 300/300 at the wheels and stay N/A. It's tougher with a auto trans because I have another 20-25 hp to make up over you manual guys. So I was hoping between the delete plates, longtubes, Brenspeeds new tune and changing back to the stock wheels and tires I could get there for the spring Dyno day at Brenspeed's. That's were my heads at. The sure fire way is with the cams but the car is still under warranty and I have a problem screwing that up.

Yeah...I have been looking at these also. I figured if the welds looked bad I would just take them to the shop and have the welder touch them up. Also I can machine the flange flat if needed. Want to order 2 sets? I have not seen anything I would worry about yet and I have looked at them for a year or so. For $480 to the door it is hard to beat. And they are 304 SS also!
