Thanks, I should be getting the rear sway bar tommorow. I found something that said it should be installed with the weight of the car on the suspension. So, I'll try to install it without a jack.

I finally got my sway bar in! That turned out to quite a project!

It turns out I did need a jack, so I went down and got one, along with 2 jack stands. So, with the extra cleanance that jacking the car up gave me, I was able to complete my sway bar install. It took longer then I expected, since some of those bolts were on there real tight! Also, I haven't put a car up in the air since High School Auto shop so, I was a little slower then most guys would be.

I haven't driven it yet, I'll do that tomorrow going to work and back. I did check to make sure that it cleared everything when I lowered the car back down to the ground, and it looked OK.

It looks pretty nice especially with those billet end links!

It's great!

A lot less body roll, and it even feels better going down the road! More stable? I didn't expect that last part!

It lets you go around the corners faster and lets you run more stable at speed. I did my favorite 1/4 mile run going home today, and it was a lot better then the mushy stock suspension. I won't tell you where that is in case I find you lying in wait for me one day!

The only problem is that one of the brackets that hold the ends rubs against the inside of my wheel rim in a turn. I guess I'll have to go in there and readjust something? Errr!

I just got done working on that! I had to jack the car up again, and loosened the nuts on the end of the sway bar so that I could move it up about another 3/8 of an inch or so. I did the same thing on both sides. I hope that does it. The next thing would be to take a die grinder to it!

I called up Steeda to get some advice on this rubbing issue and the guy tryed to sell me some more parts! A panhead rod and brace. I said "No thanks!"

I hope you don't have to work tonight do you Tread? You will certainly earn your money tonight!

I'm too tired to go out and do anything myself. Working on the car wears me out!

Oh, I forgot to tell you. The first time I drove my car to work with the new sway on it, a co-worker came up to me and said "Hey, you got a new sway bar on your car huh?" That blue Steeda bar with the billet endlinks really does stand out even when the car is parked! A cool added feature that I didn't expect!

Wow! That must have been something!

I didn't hear any noise from my new sway bar on the drive home today, so I guess that problem is solved. I'll check on it again on Sunday to make sure.

I also ordered a GT500 spoiler yesterday! Should come in next week! Good thing I got some Holiday pay to pay for all this stuff!

Well, I got the spoiler, and it is really nice! Perfect paint!

However, I'm having a hard time getting the old one off! It seems like they put some kind of adhesive on the pillers of the old spolier. Errr!

Did you have this problem Thread? Another of those five minute mods that take all day!

Nice mods, Fal! I like your "collection" of parts gathering in your garage.

Well, I funally got my new spoiler on, but like always it turned out to be quite a project!

I got the idea to get a heat gun to help me get the adhesive softened up that was holding the old spoiler onto the trunk. So I stopped by Home Depot and picked up one for $20 and that seemed to do the job!

Man, that adhesive that Ford uses is tough stuff! But anyways, I got the new GT500 spoiler on now, and it looks great!

What do you guys think?

Haha! Sorry for the late reply but, yes that adhesive was tough! It was the hardest part of the whole mod.

It does look great though doesn't it?

I went to Texas Motors today to get my service done and they have an '09 GT 500 in the showroom. They are still trying to get a $20,000 "market adjustment" for it! List price was $49k and they want $69k. My salesman friend up there said they will never get that and will probably end up putting it on ebay where they might get $55k if they are lucky. He said they have had to sell the last 4 or 5 of them on ebay.

Yep, I believe hackers should spend some time in Gitmo!
