I'm thinking about not putting on my front plate onto the front of my 2011 GT. What do you think Tread? Will I get pulled over?

Yes you can but, it depends on the Officer that sees it as to whether he will stop you or not. Really hard to answer. I told my dealer not to put the front plate bracket on mine. There is a place that sells brackets that do not require drilling. I'll add the link when I get on my laptop. I don't have it on this computer.

Awesome, Fal! Congrats on that new ride. FYI, I still don't have the front plate on my '05 and it hasn't been an issue (yet). Good thing I don't drive in Fort Worth anymore, or Tread would get me.

When's your Mustang scheduled to come in, Tread? Lemme know if you wanna part with your Flo's...

No word yet on my Mustang. I still haven't been able to pry the DORA from them yet. They use an outside vendor to order the cars now so I have to wait until they send the DORA to the dealer before I can get a copy. Frustrating!

I'll let ya know about the flows when I know something. Hoping to sell the car instead of trading it in.

This patrol was parked behind mine in the middle of I-35 when it got plowed by a drunk idiot! We were blocking the lane due to another idiot driving a semi who didn't want to pay for the clutch repair his truck needed. His stopped in the traffic lane when the clutch gave out a few miles down the road. No one was in the car so no injuries thankfully. The other Officer made a prophetic statement about 30 seconds before this happened about how this was not the time (2am) to be parked on the freeway. KABLAMO!

Hey Man! Be carefull out there!

Here's some good news for you from Karpro. He's a Ford sales guy.

Good News for those waiting for their car
Ford bumped the rebate on both the 2011 V6 and GT to $1000 this morning. The program number is still 11818.

The top tier finance rate also dropped to 1.9/2.9/3.9/5.9% for 36/48/60/72 months but these two programs are not compatible with each other. This is program #20252.

Thanks Ghost! Good to see you back on our Forum! When are you going to get your 2011 GT?

Yeah, maybe you can get that Ford coupon private offer for $750? Then you would be really getting a good deal.......

Dang! What's with people hitting non-moving cars at night? Y'all catch the DPD hitting that one guy?

No 2011 GT for me. I'm looking to get the wife a Supercrew truck. I'll have to wait until the 2015 models (or so).

Yeah, I saw that DPD deal. Makes no sense!

We had two more of ours get hit head on last night! I spent 4 hours on the freeway last night helping clean one of them up.

Hey Tread, what do you think of these LoJack systems? I was thinking about getting one for my 65 since I have so much money wrapped up in it. They have a new one just for classic cars. Costs around $700 though........

They work quite well. We have patrol cars and the helicopter equipped with LoJack receivers. We still have to search and follow the arrows until we find the car though so the faster it's activated the better.

The only thing I can think of that would be better is if there is a GPS based system that would give the exact location. I have no idea if an alarm system like that exists though.

They do, but they charge a monthly service fee. I don't need another bill right now.

They also won't receive a signal inside a building, parking garage, etc.

I might get a LoJack when my car comes back from paint. I'm having it painted in it's orginal "Ragnoon Red."

Oh yes, I will post plenty of pictures of the 65 with the new paint job. I'll even post pictures of it after it comes back from soda blasting. That costs extra, but it should give a better base for the new paint.

Have you had any word on your 2011 GT yet? VIN? ETA? Anything?
