Glad to hear that Ghost. I saw the shutle too from my front yard. That thing is huge!

To set the record straight, my patrol car was parked so I didn't run into anything and amazingly there was no damage to mine. Just the Charger and they already put a new bumper cover on it.

My new patrol car is not expected to be here until the end of January!<---- That's how I feel about it taking so long to get a new patrol car. Mine is up to almost 70,000 miles.

Ha, I've seen that and read an article about it. Not sure how well it'll work.

Glad to hear that you got your car back. And that you like how it looks!

Cool pictures Tread! You didn't take those from your front yard did you?

Do you know what time it took off? I was waiting in the new Cafeteria at work thinking that I might see it take off, but I gave up at about 12:25.

Interesting Police car. I didn't know that made ones just for the Police?

And on my note...I got my car back yesterday! I'll have to take some pics, but she looks great! No undercarriage damage, either. And on the positive...3.5 years of small rock chips, some marring on the front bumper from a parking lot idiot & a rocker panel scuff from a rock is now all reset. Too bad I had to hit a fence for that all to happen.

I took the pics from 820/Quebec. It took off at 11:10 am. Too bad ya missed it man, it was cool! It only used about half the runway or less to get airborne. I was shocked! I'm sure the high windspeed helped alot though.

Quite a few articles on the 2010 Mustang and how it drives today! Click here!

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=475694

Here's some information I found that talks about the new Track Pack for $1500. Sounds like it's worth it!

Get Track-Ready
Ford isn't oblivious to the limitations of the Mustang's handling, hence the newly optional Track Pack. Available on GT coupes starting next summer, the $1,495 option package borrows several pieces from the current Shelby GT500, including its front and rear antiroll bars, rear lower control arms and front upper strut mounts.

A unique set of dampers is also fitted as well as a front strut-tower brace, high-performance brake pads and a limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gears. A set of 19-inch aluminum wheels with Pirelli P Zero summer performance tires sized 255/40ZR19 is also part of the package.

At speed on the road course at the Streets of Willow, the improvement from this package proved noticeable almost instantly. The retuned dampers do a better job of keeping the front end under control, so the initial turn toward the apex of the corner is more immediate. There's far less body roll and the additional cornering grip allows you to push it a little harder at the limit.

If you're not up for the full Track Pack, there will also be an axle package that gets you the 3.73 gears and high-performance brake pads up front. The standard rear-end gears are 3.31:1, and 3.55:1 gears are also an option with the manual transmission

The track pack sounds pretty cool except I don't think you can get it with the glass roof, which I want of course. Decisions, decisions!

Oh you are going to go for the glass huh? It's a pretty expensive option, but it is pretty cool!

They keep saying that the 5.0 won't have direct injection at first. I hope that's not true! I'll hold out untill it does have it. DI is supposed to be good for another 15-20% in either mileage, or power. In fact the 5.0 is supposed have a little bit better mileage then the 4.6 it replaces.

Yea I would love to have the glass roof but, not sure if I'll get it yet. Luckily I have time to weigh my options since I would like the Track Pak too. We'll see how the DI thing plays out. If they wait until the new model (2014+) then I probably won't wait. It would be nice though.

Well, I think Ford will come out with DI pretty quick since the Camaro V6 will have it. If they don't have it for 2011, then either by mid year or by 2012 at any rate. My 08 should keep me going untill then.

I would like something to cut down on the body lean in a turn. Do you guys know of anything that might help? I guess I could do a strut tower brace, but I want something more then just that!

I was going to order the Ford Racing suspension kit, but it was 2 Grand, plus installation. That's why the Track Pack with parts from the GT500 sounds like a good deal/ Who knows maybe it will become standard for the GT?

Lowering kit I think would help with body roll too.

Well, I ordered a Steeda rear sway bar, and a Steeda strut tower brace from Moss. Here's the links to both below!

Yeah, I'll try to. It's supposed to be easy. I'm not sure if I'll need a jack to put the sway bar on?

I'll have a few days off over the Holidays, and this will give me a project to do before I go back on 7 days a week next year. This Economy is not something that I like.

But, if I survive another couple of years then I should have a lot of money for a new Mustang!

Well, I got the Strut brace bar in today! I must say, it's a good piece of gear! It also cleared my engine cover by about 3/8 of an inch or so. That was one of my concerns. Pretty easy to install really.
