I learned that lesson along long time ago.
On another note, I had to drive a patrol car last night that had 99,000 miles on it. It must have been a traffic car before because the suspension was still in very good shape like it never left the freeway. Most of the regular patrol cars suspensions will be junk after about 35-40,000 miles of real street duty. If they make it that far!

That's a lot of miles! It must be a Crown Vic?
I'm not sure if I want to try to drive my new Pony in to work tomorrow. It's supposed to be icy! I don't want to see it end up in a ditch!

Yeah it was a Crown Vic.
I have been really surprised at how well our Mustangs drive in bad weather. I've driven mine a few times in the ice and had no real problems. The only time it's really been squirrelly has been in the slushy snow.

Well, I think I'll just say no to ice all the same!
I'm just glad we don't have more snow and ice then we have! If we did, I'm not sure I would even have a Mustang.

I haven't seen any real numbers yet. Guesstimates have been upper 300's but, the torque is what will really matter with a truck. It will also have a 6sp transmission in it too.

That sounds pretty good. I wonder if it would have direct injection in it?
That really would make it have a lot of HP!
I kind of liked the new Hummer concept being shown around in auto shows. It's called the HX right now, but in production it would probably be the H4. It's quite a bit smaller then the other Hummers, only a little bigger then the Jeep Wrangler. It would have a direct injection V6 with over 300 HP. Here's a link

Hey all, just checkin in. I'm moving (back home) to Richland Hills here in a couple of weeks. I have had ENOUGH of these freakin Minnesota winters. At least I have a garage in the apartments I've been living in and had a short drive to work. Another nice thing was that there's a car wash in the garage here so I could always wash the insults of the public works people (salt...eeek!) off the the stang. Safe to say, I've just about cornered the market on quarters using that thing during the winter.
It will sure be nice to be back home, where me and my thin southern blood belong! I doubt I'll ever complain about it being cold again.
