If I can remember how that is !
Big round thing in the car make the car go around. Pedal on the right makes it go fast.

When do you go on your beat? I'm still curious how well calibrated my speedo is.

Well, it's good to see that you're back on the job Tread! I feel safer already!

The new job would have required me to move either to Maryland, or Edwards Air Force base in California. Both of those areas are a lot more expensive then here, so it's not really that big of a deal to not get this job. It would have been a lot more stress too!

Well sorry to hear that Falchion. They were probably just jealous of the Stang!

My doctor released me to full duty today so I guess I'm gonna have to start working for a living again. If I can remember how that is !

Oh well Falchion, I guess it all worked out for the better then.

I don't know if y'all should feel so safe yet. I'm gonna be so lost when I get back in my patrol car it's not funny.

Double ought. Slugs wouldn't go over too well with the Chief.

I patrol the good ol' Eastside. Poly area to be specific.

Pffft...tell your chief he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Poly area? What are those limits?

Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot, you're one of the brave/stupid ones.

Thank God someone has the cajones to do it.

Well, I did kinda want it, but I wasn't that thrilled about moving again. It was in Flight Test, which would have been cool, but also high stress. Also, I put in for that a few weeks back when it looked like I might get laid off, but now it looks more stable then before. I hope.

My particular district boundaries are I-35 to just east of Miller Ave and Berry St north to the railroad tracks on the southside of E Lancaster. I can pretty much go anywhere within the East Division with no problems but, we are supposed to try and stay in our district.

Y'all lucked out this weekend though since I can't shoot my qualifications until Tuesday. Which means I can't hit the streets until Tuesday night.

Hey! Does that mean we can meet down there and do burn outs, drag races and such since your on duty?

I watched Van Diesel being interviewed on the "special features" in the Fast and the Furious DVD, and he talked about he hung out with the street racers in LA. And he said that they spent most of their time running from the cops. Pretty funny you should say that.....

Here is some car show info I found on another site.
Saturday July 9th at Burger Street/The Pit Stop 7301 Camp Bowie West. Registration from4-6:30pm. More info at Gasolinealleycarshows.com.

Saturday July 23rd Hooters on S/W Boulevard. Registration from 5-6:45pm. I think this one is hosted by Fastlane Performance (Flpot.net) in association with C.A.R.S. There is also a post on DFWStangs.net about it in the Meetings & Get togethers forum.

I am hoping to go to both so hopefully we can meet up if anyone else goes.

Ok, the Eastside is officially safe again! I lived thru my first night back last night. Luckily nothing happened all night. We actually had a legitimate Lo-Jack vehicle recovery. It was pretty cool. The car was abandoned before we found it though. They must have seen us driving all around (the car was being driven in circles around the hood) looking for it and left it on a side road in the dark. That was my excitement. I got stuck on hospital guard duty the rest of the night. I'm off Thursday and Friday nights. As soon as I get comfortable and re-learn everything I'll let y'all know so we can hook up and test your speedo's.

I finally got to shoot my qualifications Tuesday morning. In the freaking rain!! Somehow I managed to shoot a 91.6 % score even though I have not even laid a hand on my pistol ( much less shot it ) since Oct of 2003 (the date of our last qualification before I got hurt).
