Unfortunately, yes Gary. If you haven't done so already, I'd contact Ford headquarters customer support dept and inquire about your status taking so long to be updated in their system

Just got home from work and a letter from Ford was in my mailbox telling me that parts are now available for the passenger side recall.
I will be calling my dealer ASAP.

Just called the dealer and of course they do not have any parts yet. Said they are expecting them next week and I should call back on Monday. Unfortunately he would not "reserve" one for me even though I called now and had a letter.

Then I'd consider contacting another dealership!

Got my letter yesterday. Will wait till things slow down a bit. The stange isn't a daily driver and no one rides in the passengers side anyway.

Called mine, expecting parts soon, will call me when mine is in.
We shall see, they said that about the drivers side and I had to keep bugging them.

Got the letter for my 2005 GT a few days ago after nearly 3 years of waiting. No plans yet when I will bring it in. The driver side was replaced back in June 2016 nearly a year after I got the letter.
For my 2010 BMW 335i, I waited almost 2 years to get the driver side replaced (November 2017). Pretty sure the passenger side on that will need to be replaced as well so I’ll be waiting another eternity for that recall letter to arrive hopefully sometime before the world ends.

So I called the dealer back as I was told to do and they said they do not have any parts in stock and they have to special order them on a case by case basis. They are going to order one for me and call me when it comes in but they could not give me an expected arrival date. So, now instead of waiting for a letter from Ford I wait for a phone call from the dealer.
Why didn't the guy last week tell me this?
The saga continues...

I called a local dealer 2 weeks ago asking about the pass-side airbag recall on my wife's '08 GT500 ... dude checked and supposedly it's a different inflator for the GT500 than the other models and he had to order one.
I find that really hard to believe, but if it means only having them work on the car once and not a second time to replace a wrong part, then so be it.
Car's been sitting in the garage since November, wife is about to re-activate the full insurance on it and want to drive it soon, but they're forecasting snow for tomorrow, and again for next Tuesday, so we might be just fine with waiting another week or so for these guys to receive whatever special GT500-only inflator they ordered :/

They called me to tell me mine was in. It’s still in storage and crappy weather this week. I said give me a couple weeks. They said we can’t will have to send it back. Wtf! I had to wait how many years? And to think I knew these people well working next door for 11 years at Goodyear and helping them out and what not.

Those of you that have had the pass side inflator replaced, can you post up the part number that was installed, listed on the receipt?

I have a local dealer that's supposedly ordered a part for my wife's '08 like 3 weeks ago, supposedly it's different than the other models, which I don't believe, and I'm getting sick of waiting.
Parts are now available, he has the inflators in stock, his parts dept is being stupid.

I was a Ford Service Writer for almost 10 years, I would've had the part by now, 3 weeks is just ridiculous.

If it makes a difference mine is a 2005 V6 model with a build date of 12/2004

Thanks.
Googling that part # I find this:
https://ford.oemdtc.com/2644/safety-...incoln-mercury

Which lists part # 5R3Z-63044A74-B for all 2005-2009 Mustangs.

So I either gotta call this dude back and tell him to get off his as$ and schedule the job, or just call another dealer and forget about him.
