I used the link to Ford and found that my Mustang has been listed on the recall list.

Ford really needs some work on their web site however. I clicked on dealer to look up a number to call. To my surprise, the locator would not find the Ford dealer nearest my location. (Though it did list a number of dealers; some up to 100 miles away.) I put in the zip code--nada. I blanked the zip code and entered the dealer name. Search result: 0 dealers found with that name.

According to the Ford site, the dealer nearest my location does not exist. Ironically, a trip to the mailbox yielded a coupon from the non-existent Ford dealer, with the service department number prominently listed. (It's where I purchased my Mustang--the advertisement also included a note suggesting that they would like me to come buy another one.) I wonder if Ford knows this guy is selling their cars?

My car was not on the recall list previously, but now it is. Off to the dealer I go.

I'm on the new list too. I sure hope they do a good job without botching up anything. I'm tempted to just keep it 'as is'.

my 06 and the wifes 07 are both on there, but will have to wait till spring... not driving anyway, def not going out in the salt for a recall.

anyone know if the airbag cover is replaced too? both ours have the center pony corrosion or whatever turns them white...i think the bag/cover are one piece, so maybe at least the thing will look better.

I will call the local Ford Dealer regarding this issue for my two Mustangs tomorrow 23 December and see when I can get them in.

Dealer says the keep the same airbag cover and just swap out the core. Make sure you call first to see if they have the cores in stock. My dealer advised me they're starting to run low

Go here with your VIN to check on your pony.
Thank you for posting, Paris MkVI! Owner Letters are expected to be mailed next month. Dealers will repair any affected vehicles whether or not the customer has received a letter. As you mentioned, owners can also check here for any recalls.

Happy to help out, Deysha. I commend Ford's decision to do this by choice, instead of waiting, like other manufacturers, for the feds to force the issue.

The airbag makers "high-temp/humidity states" recall was kind of absurd.

It looks like my car has that caution symbol on that website, so I guess my car is on that list.

Question is, if I already changed my airbag cause I changed my steering wheel, do I still need to go in?
