You are the man.
If the odometer is off I don't think the dealer can transfer that information. For that I think the cluster would need to be shipped to the cluster center. At one point I checked with a local speedo show to see if they could transfer that info and I got a resounding "we don't know as we've never tried"!

You Are Welcome!

Realize The Dealer Can Not Reset the Odometer. So Hopefully you are Below 13,000 and can Swap when you get Close!

D'oh Wow that sucks, that means it's going to be awhile before I can use this darn thing. Man that really sucks. But thanks, I guess I will put off getting the download done then. As there is no point in getting that done now. Man, I need to start driving I am just at 4150.

I am so peeved

I got a number for the guys who program the clusters, and they wont do anything for me. The guy at the dealership was like just call them and they will hook you up. But no. So now I am stuck with a cluster that I am going to have to wait 9 months to use this darn thing. That is unless someone who has a V6 with ABS and Tlok, who is near 13,000 wants it. I would sell it for 60 + shipping. And then get a brand new one.

Just keep looking and be sure to verify mileage. I am just going to get a brand new one. I am not going to let this happen again.

I know others have sent non mycolor sets but Ford may be pushing back on this or the dealer is.

I never had the Non Mycolor Cluster Refused as a Core.

Just did the swap of the cluster with a 07 GT. It was a direct plug and play. No problems with the install. Everything works, with no alarms going off. Just thought I would pass this along.

Was it a New or Used Cluster?

This morning went to the dealership and did the swap. I had a cluster from a used wrecked 07 GT and wanted to install in my 05 GT. The Service foreman pulled the info from my 05 cluster and let me do the swap real quick for the 07 cluster. He got back in and installed the info into the 07 cluster. Took just fine and so far no issues. Miles does NOT transfer so now I have a car with the ODO off but at least I went back in time. went from 22223 to 13100....I have no intentions in selling the car so i dont care. There was a company in cali that offered to correct the miles but was going to cost me almost $400. not worth it to me. Info center working just fine and all is well. The only issue i had was my shaker 500 started acting up a but about 10 miles from the dealership but i really do think it is unrelated.

I just put my used cluster in to test out the Mycolor and all. No issues other than the off light on my traction control button doesn't turn on when I push it. I did however test out the T/C to see if it was still operational...it still works. I guess I probably should take and have the info transferred from my old cluster to the new. Hopefully they will let me switch the clusters, I don't feel like getting charged for an hours labor for a job that takes literally 5-10 minutes. I have about 1K miles to go before I will make the swap permanently. I had thought about just eating the extra 1K miles but it would be my luck that something would break on the car at 36,999 miles when I actually only had 35,999 miles, lol!!

I was wondering if I would be able to install the mycolor in my 2008 GT Deluxe. I took off the blank and have the wiring harness but im not sure it the mycolor clusters have 1 connector in the back or more. My stock has only 1-26 pin conn. If anyone knows if I would be able to do the mod, then I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

You're good to go, one 26 pin connector is all the cluster takes. If you have the wires like you said then all you need to do is get the 3 button switch and the cluster and you're set.

I see, awesome, thanks. I have been trying to find out for sure because everyone who has done this mod seems to have a pre 2008 and one of the dealerships told me that the 2008 wiring harness has a diff part number than the 05-07's.

I've got the chime in reverse....!

I ordered the cluster from Sam at Bob Utter Ford, and gave them my VIN and Milage to have the cluster preprogrammed. Install went without a hitch, but I now have a chime while in reverse and when speed reaches about 80 mph. Should this be plug and play since it was preprogrammed? The dealer said it was. What do I do now to get rid of unwanted chimes? I've read the whole thread, so do I still have to take to dealer to redo the programming?

I would def go back to the dealer and let them know about the beeps. I haven't had mine programmed yet and it doesn't beep like that.

Officially installed mine today since I had the day off and had to go to the dealer anyhow for an oil change/tire rotation. At first I was being told they were going to charge me 2 hours labor. I explained I only needed them to simply download off the old cluster and upload to the new one. I bickered with them for a little while till they finally allowed me to do the swap myself. I timed myself...took me 4 mins 45 seconds to swap clusters in the parking lot. No idea where they get these inflated labor times from but @ $90/hour there would have been no way. They charged me .5 for labor for the upload/download. I was ok with paying out $45 rather than the $180 they originally wanted to charge me.
