What have you done to/with your Boss 302 this week?
LS wing & Roush axle backs
I'm still working on the paint on the rear wing, must exceed quality of roof paint hence many coats of clear and wet sanding buff etc.
Installed axle backs yesterday on a long lunch break.
I think the sound is very similar to the side exhaust without the restricters in, only meatier, also less out the sides due to less back pressure.
Here's what I learned doing it myself;
1. Put grease on the ears that need to slide thru the rubber hangers, coming off & on the new ones. MUCH EASIER!
2. Don't try to remove the factory clamps to get them out of the way, They are tack welded on.
3. Use a jack to CAREFULLY lift the exhaust pipe in front of the axle up so you can clear the factory mufflers.
Had I known this going in I think one person could do it in 45 min. max.
