What have you done to/with your Boss 302 this week?
Not sure if it counts because it was last week.....MM c/c plates set to -2.2 degrees. Worked great last weekend at BIR compared to the -1.7. I can get up to -2.8 but am leaving it where it is now to keep it streetable.
B-
Actually doing it for cooling. I really didn't think they'd look as good as the stock grille, but my friend's 5.0 with real fogs removed and replaced with mesh actually looks pretty good.....I think it will look better, but that's not why I'm doing it. They've changed the 302S grille to the wire mesh now so there must be something to the cooling benefit.
Good point, it would probably take out the a/c condenser though? I am not planning on putting anything in there. The mesh will just fill the void left by cutting them out. It appears that's what they had in mind when they designed the grille as it's just a mesh "pattern" in that part of the grille. I was told they just ran out of time so it was left plastic.

I have had my KB 302 for 4 days. I have scared my wife and daughter (she is 28) on ride alongs with WOT blasts; and had my best friend say " You are crazy man!" as we slid/accelerated through a 90 degree left at 40mph in 2nd. He had a shift-eating grin on his fce as he was saying that.
That photo and the safety wire install are from Ford Racing. All that is holding it on is the safety wire. The 302S build thread has the front photo. Here you go. More info at BMO.

Drove it to Laguna Seca
but not ON Laguna Seca. I was there for the 2-day advanced racing school at skip barber...drove the formula 2000 cars again...they are a hoot to drive...but man, what a workout. those cars require serious labor to get around the track...not to mention the near-record heat at the track. exhausting.
driving the boss home each night along hwy 1 (coast hwy) and over hwy 17 (the pass over the santa cruz mountains from santa cruz to the bay area) reminded me of how fun a street car can be.
the boss is truly a diamond...and not even in the rough. it's just really good and keeps me smiling every minute I'm in it.
oh, and I did get a lot of questions and compliments on the car out at the track too.

We're planning on drilling roughly 1/16" sized holes in the housing to attach the safety wire. On the GT the fog lamp housing is round so you can use a hose clamp to secure the mesh after folding it around the housing. On the Boss it's angled so it would just slip off as you applied pressure to the clamp.

never understood how you guys drive like that
