Sounds like that FORD SHOP needs to be taken behind the wood shed for a slight adjustment.
Whats the name of the FORD SHOP
so everyone knows not to go there.

This SO SCREWED up! I just called the FRPP supplier who was ordering my TK. He told me that 5 mins. ago he got an email from Ford saying he can't order TK, ONLY Ford dealers who are Ford Racing Parts dealers can order TK.

So I called my dealership and spoke to my SVT mechanic and he's going to call SVT and find out what's going on.

Sorry Ford but you SUCK BIG TIME in everything regarding TK. This has been screwed up totally since day 1.

Dealer just called with a couple questions. They wanted to verify I hadn't changed my rear gear and also wanted to know what size track tires I was running. Since I'm currently running two different track tire sizes, and will be trying yet another next spring I told them to just set to factory sizes. For the occasional street use, I want the speedo to be correct! I have a GPS based lap timer that shows true speed for the track, and realistically the speedometer's not that important on the track anyway.

He said they've been going back and forth with Ford because the install hasn't gone as smooth as advertised, but they're getting there. No surprise there really, since this is their first install. I'm guessing other dealers will go through some learning curve on their first one too.

If anything happens to the car (let's say a wheel bearing or a suspension failure), is the failure covered under warranty? It's not likely that TracKey would be the direct cause.

I can't see any situation where it would not be covered under the normal 5/60 warranty. But then I'm not a lawyer.
The TracKey announcement I just received in my inbox confirms things for me. I wanted to see it in writing from Ford.

- TracKey is available through Ford and Lincoln dealers
- TracKey is an exclusive aftermarket offering for 2012 Mustang BOSS 302 and Laguna Seca owners
- TracKey aftermarket calibration is 50-state emissions legal
- TracKey comes with a "best-in-the-aftermarket industry" 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, and its installation and usage does not void the original OE warranty.

At dealership. Tech says there is a problem using PTS to enable key. Ford is aware of problem and is working on it. No estimated time of fix.
