Got a call today from my SVT mechanic, he ordered the TK for me. He said it was showing backordered until Oct. 31st. I said it's because Ford will not ship it until then.
Not sure if the weather is going to co-operate with me by the time it arrives. It might end up being a Spring install.

UFNavy06: want it for the Lowcountry Annual Show on 5 November.

Mark, that'll be pretty cool to have then to show off a bit. Kev and Olivia are coming down here for the airshow that weekend. It'd be nice for me to have it to take up to NASJAX for that. I suppose I'll call the dealer tomorrow and see what happens.

And what's the part number so I can tell my dealer to look it up?

Not yet but it's cold and rainy. If we get a decent day or two then I'll head into the dealer.

Right. BUT, doesn't using the FR part for its intended purpose nullify the rest of the warranty anyway? (I.E. track use only) This means that the only warranty coverage that remains is for parts damaged because of problems with TracKey. So what happens if the dealer determines that TracKey is operating normally?

I have mine ordered and hope to have it by November First. Northern Michigan is supposed to be getting snow this weekend and we willnot be far behind. I did not get mine from the dealer where I purchased the car but the dealer where I get all my parts. He gave me my normal parts discount and the service manager said he may install it himself (if time allows) and not charge for the install.

Ordered mine yesterday. Will likely get it just in time to store for the winter. Wonder if aging it makes it more potent? Kinda like a fine wine!

Where the hell can you order Trackey?!

I've called around to a few dealerships and they all say they can't. I've provided the part number.

No, PTRocks. This install does not nullify the rest of your New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Any concern caused by the TracKey will be covered for 3 yrs or 36,000 miles. Any other concern will be covered under whichever warranty it applies under (3/36k or 5/60k).

So if we don't use TK after the three years we should be safe?

Rick, you would only be safe if you uninstalled the TracKey after 3 years as I understand it.
