This SO SCREWED up! I just called the FRPP supplier who was ordering my TK. He told me that 5 mins. ago he got an email from Ford saying he can't order TK, ONLY Ford dealers who are Ford Racing Parts dealers can order TK.
So I called my dealership and spoke to my SVT mechanic and he's going to call SVT and find out what's going on.
Sorry Ford but you SUCK BIG TIME in everything regarding TK. This has been screwed up totally since day 1.

Dealer just called with a couple questions. They wanted to verify I hadn't changed my rear gear and also wanted to know what size track tires I was running. Since I'm currently running two different track tire sizes, and will be trying yet another next spring I told them to just set to factory sizes. For the occasional street use, I want the speedo to be correct! I have a GPS based lap timer that shows true speed for the track, and realistically the speedometer's not that important on the track anyway.
He said they've been going back and forth with Ford because the install hasn't gone as smooth as advertised, but they're getting there. No surprise there really, since this is their first install. I'm guessing other dealers will go through some learning curve on their first one too.

Thanks Deysha,
However, I wasn't asking if installing TracKey is a problem. I am talking about actually using it. Meaning specifically, using TracKey implies taking the car on the track. If anything happens to the car (let's say a wheel bearing or a suspension failure), is the failure covered under warranty? It's not likely that TracKey would be the direct cause.

Well, to their credit, I got a call from my service tech saying they did indeed have everything, she wanted to get me in tomorrow for install but I pushed and got the car in on my way back from lunch! I'll have TK installed shortly!!
Waiting to hear some success stories shortly...
