Thanks Mike!
I guess I should have posted my impression of the shifter... First off, I have to say that the stock shifter really didn't bother me that much. It was already a huge improvement over my '02 Stratus R/T 5 spd (yeah yeah, laugh it up... but not too much, I still have the car!). It wasn't nearly as vague, and the throws were significantly shorter. That being said, the MGW makes it feel like a different car. It makes me want to shift more, I found myself shifting at ~2k rpms and reaching 5th gear before I realized it, which I haven't been doing since I got her broken in, and I've also been downshifting at every opportunity... Also, it's very clear when you're in gear - no vague feel whatsoever! It just kind of makes a click/clunk sound (reminds me of the new VW commercial that talks about the solid sound of the door closing). It's just solid! One thing I've noticed is that the centering spring is pretty strong. I tend to casually shift with two fingers every once in a while, and one time it pulled the shifter over to neutral as I was going 1-2, and I ended up in 4th. It kinda made me chuckle... 2-3 and 4-5 shifts are effortless now, and I can't wait to get more time with this shifter!

I love the white shift ****, I think the black looks good too but it kinda gets lost against the rest of the dark interior. The white is a good contrast to the Recaro seats, and I haven't seen that many... And to me it's a classic look that almost never looks bad. I think you should do it!

10 months to transferring out of this sheeet box. That 9500 saved my butt last week flying through Georgia. I caught the trooper from a over a good mile away on the ka band. That would have been a nice ticket.
