Who has 2016 GT Premium with 400a package
Hi Guys,
I recently ordered a 2016 GT Premium with Performance Package. I didn't opt for the 401a package because I felt that the 400a (that comes with the GT Premium) would be sufficient. According to the Ford website, the 400a entertainment package comes with HD Radio. Here's a screenshot from the website.
Can anyone tell me if the 2016 GT Premium with 400a package comes with HD radio? The dealer is telling me that is does NOT come with HD Radio. But the website clearly says (in multiple locations) that it does. Here's a screenshot where it indicates that HD Radio is STANDARD on the GT Premium model.
Thanks.

I'm almost 100% certain that it does, as it's part of the Premium package. I've found that most dealers don't know much about the vehicles that they sell.
That said, mine is configured the same way your car is, and is due to be delivered on Thursday. I'll check it out and let you know!

HD option
With the 400a option group, under audio upgrades, clicking on HD stereo mandates removing 400A and replacing it with 401A.
It's not available as a stand alone option.

I have a 400a 2015 GT w premium pkg. Bought 9/9/2015. Read somewhere that stereo (Sirius etc) has the same amp (800 w), somewhat lesser quality speakers and no sub. Added a 500 w sub and it rocks. Not sure what the HD refers to exactly but I think this covers one difference in this configuration.

Post us some pics! Where did you put the sub and what kind did you get?

Thanks, yes I see that on the website.... however, they clearly state that the 400a package comes with HD radio. They also clearly state that HD Radio is standard equipment on the GT Premium.

The sub I added was a Rockford Fosgate 12" punch with a RF punch 500 amp. It is in a big box in the truck. Looking at spare tire mounting area as there is no spare anyway. It can over power the stereo easily so the gain is low. As is, it is a Rock and Rolling concert.

I wonder if it can be installed as a module though.
