400hp 4.6L DOHC Aluminum block for Bullitt!
why thank you for the advice, my feeling is, I nolonger respond as this person is sad and not worthy of even a direct response.... How sad it must be to own soimething you should enjoy and can't. Things at Shelby are terrific, The overall consumers seem happy and we will strive to continue to get the consumer what they want. Petty people are just....well, sad, and I feel sorry for them.
You know, I always say that people don't have to be nice, but they should be able to ask and receive questions in a respectful and adult manner.

I DO think the two of you have a fundamental difference about the business and marketing side of the Shelby enterprise, and that has led to conflict.
Just my 2 cents.
Now, can't we all just get along...?
Take the time to visit their facility outside of Las Vegas and you would know....seriously. They have tours and take you through the shop. At the time I visited they were doing R&D for the S197 cars and had 3 or 4 there at the time. They build engines, they build Cobras, etc. It's not just a building where parts are slapped on.

People who want a shelby are still going to get a shelby.
Just because the Bullitt has 315 or so HP, doesn't mean it has more in the handling etc dept.
I think the Shelby has more FRPP parts tacked on to it....

Or not be able to be and display who one really is.
I had your number from the beginning, it just took longer for others accept what you and Shelby Autos are all about. Again, if you had answers to any of my posting the responses would have been here by now instead of being discussed where I don't have a voice.
Pleasant dreams.
This SE subject has made me sick! I've been waiting for a 400hp Mach1 or Boss for a couple of years now. I really like this 2005-2007 design, and its a shame we aren't going to see a Mach1 dressed in it.

Now, with a 2008 Bullitt with minimal horsepower, maybe a Boss in 2009 which probably won't be affordable, I'll be looking at Challengers.
Even 6 cylinder ricers are passing up Mustang horsepower.
if you passed on a '04 Mach....why are you not happy with a 320hp Bullitt (if thats what happens)...that will get you 15 more horses and an S197 SE. Sounds good to me.

Actually they don't even make those!........
