Have you considered the new BMW 2 series? the manual has perfect 50/50 distribution and the potential is endless with the tunes these days. I feel yah on your thoughts. I just let my Mustang run into the wild today. Time to seriously think about what to get next. E9X series M3's are cheap compared to new. So are the 2006 911's for that matter.

This was my day on the way to drop the car off. Enjoy.

^ nice Steve! But doing that on the way to a drop off may not have been a good idea. What if the engine or tranny blew on the way there??????? The purchase/deal would not have happened then, plus you'd be stuck having to repair it.

I'm just not in love with German cars. The 2-Series is nice, but as crazy as it sounds, I'd rather have a BRZ. I prefer the styling and lighter weight of the BRZ, not to mention cheaper costs all around.

I ordered a GT500 steering wheel today. Should be here next week.the stock mustang wheel has always been a disappointment for me.

Barton,

I see what you are saying but I respectfully dissagree. I have done this countless times in the last 2+ years. The car just came from the dealer where they replaced everything for the rear sway bar, bolts included, the rear pinion seal, new diff fluid, front lower control arms with heat shields, and torqued every bolt in the front frame to spec. She's still under warranty. I didn't over rev the car I just hit the electronic speed limiter. I wasn't breaking any laws or driving wrecklessly, for Germany. Ford would have to replace the engine or tranny. It's a completely stock car.

Until someone has driven a Track Pack 5.0 at these speeds they wouldn't have the confidence in it that I have. This car was made for track days and high performance driving. I have and have every confidence in the world for how tough this platform is. The new owner has been a friend of mine for a couple of years through all I have been through with the car he paid for. He knows how I drive and how much "abuse" I have thrown at it. That's one of the reasons he bought it from me, he knows how sturdy it is. Before I left to take the car to him he asked me how long it was going to take. Not because he didn't know. He also asked in the same sentence, "Regular driving or Racecar driving?". LOL.

Racecar of course!

Nice! It still kills me that in NY/NJ you need a front plate.

Thanks, and yes, it sucks. It already had the holes drilled in the bumper when I bought the car, otherwise I would have attached the plate to the lower grill to get a cleaner look.

Yeah,....we have that in MA as well.
I don;t drive a front plate on either my daily driver or Roush. I drive by police and then never bother me. Been pulled over a couple of times and never a mention of the front plate. The only time it becomes an issue is at the yearly inspection time. Must have a front plate present on the vehicle.
The daily driver has the holes drilled into the front bumper, so I just screw the plate on and take it off when I get home.
The Roush has one of those Craig's Custom plate holders. On for the inspection, off as soon as I get home.

Easy to get those holes filled and painted, and cleared without having to repaint the whole bumper. Cheap too...

whaaaat?? Without repainting the entire bumper? I've contacted a few body shops about this and none of them suggested I could do this. Tell me more!

Ultimately it depends on the paint shop/body shop skill set. But essentially what they do is fill the holes then paint and blend that area. They would probably have to re clear the whole bumper. But "paint" (color) should not be needed for the whole bumper.

How I spend my day off

Finally got Roush parts (splitters) from AM and just trying to find body shop for installation.

Added Spash Guard, Door Guard and stripes etc.

Looks like Stang Mod bug is catching up on me

I got rid of the engine sound tube. Really cleans up the look of the engine bay. Bought a 1 1/2 inch rubber pipe cap and clamp from Home Depot for the intake cap and a Help master cylinder cap to plug the firewall hole. Cost less than $8.
