Pete, my Stang is an 05 GT. In the meantime, hope that helps provide more sufficient info to rely upon.

I've looked at both my Oasis report, and MSRP window sticker. But neither list the car's weight. In the meantime, if you can get it for me. I'd be really grateful.

I know the weight is on my title to the car? Is this not the true weight?

Cool 3,400 pounds?

Yeah the title for ours says 3,400 pounds, but am believing that it is just an average weight for the 2007 5-speed stick shift V-8 GT Stangs? CalStang

I just got on fmcdealer and looked for anything that might tell the way to find the weight , but was unable to. The invoice you have, should have a weight listing as shipping weight. It is right above the line TOTAL which gives you the total for invoice as well as MSRP. This does differentiate between cars and what they have for options, so without actually having your car weighed at the track or somewhere else, this seems to be pretty accurate.

As stated before this is a general weight given to all mustangs with certain packages. In michigan this weight number is used to determine price of registration fees.

The title lists shipping weight, so I'm going to assume it's the car's true weight.

When you refer to the invoice, do you mean the vehicle's MSRP window sticker ? Other than that, I have no other invoice to rely upon.

Thanks for the great heads up, as I forgot all about the title. Anyhoo my title lists the vehicle's shipping weight at 3,315 lbs. So I'm going to assume this is my 2005 GT's actual weight.

No, I never got a copy of the dealer invoice. In the meantime, would you happen to know if there's anyway that I could still get one.

That's right. I forgot about that. I think the numbers on the door jamb, or where ever one gets the weight info is dry weight if somebody already mention that..

The car's actual weight, is not on the door jam. But is located on either the title, or on the dealer invoice !

The weight shown on the title is not the actual vehicle weight. It is the weight of that model with that drivetrain, but no options. I order all of our stores Mustangs, and every single GT Premium Manual, for example, will have the same exact weight listed on the title - even when optioned very differently (base w/o options, or heavy 18's, Shaker 1000, etc.).

Brian, can you find out for me what my Mustang's actual weight is ? My 05, is a GT premium coupe with 5 speed manual, 17" wheels standard, and has every option except for the premier trim with color accent package, and shaker 1000.

Thanks in advance,

Rocky

Yes, I'm pretty sure I can get a copy of one from ford for you. PM me with your VIN# and a fax and I will get it for you. Torr

The invoice that Ford provides isn't the true curb weight. 05-06 manuals are right around 3,450.

I am a man of my word. I stopped in at the local truck stop to weigh my car.(8 bucks) Mind you that it's a manual and by itself on the scale she weighed in at 3480 lbs. And that's with my bucket, soap, wax, a few towels and a can of armor-all in the trunk, along with a 1/2 tank of gas.. So at 6 foot and 230 lbs. my ride around weight is 3710 lbs. In my opinion, by itself, I think this car is pretty light. I thought it be closer to 3700 alone.
