Hey Chuck, I used my credit card? And didn't have any problems...

Btw, where you taking your hood to get worked on? You staying in the Tampa Bay area I imagine. I'm not to far south from you. Know of any good shops in the Bradenton/Sarasota area? Or farther north/south?

Nope, I dont have a paypal. I just put my card info and it went through. Money isn't in my bank account anymore

The Ford dealer did work on my Dads car when it was hit by a teenager and they did real good paint match and all. Although alot of poeple have been telling me to go to a custom shop and not a collision center

Anyone else have and words of wisdom? I "may" just go to the dealer. But I can almost say without a shadow of a doubt they'll be very... $$$!

Got this email today from Bruno:

Only 2 remaining as of 10/2/07 end date. To clarify, the wait of 4 to 6 weeks is AFTER everyone has already received the hoods. So from this date, the actual wait after the last 2 have been sold will be closer to 2 months to receive the GTS2 hoods.

I scanned over these 250 or so posts but must have missed it:

Can you use Redline or similar hood struts with the GTS-2?

hi hatchman,
i have the GT2-1 hood and i decided to keep the stock prop stick. i heard conflicting things about the hood struts. some say it works, some others say there is too much force from it and it can actually warp your hood.

i just had mine installed and my bodyshop guy says the stock prop seems to be working great.

good luck!

Theres a whole thread about them and everyone that had them said they were overpriced and garbage..They had to use zip ties to hold them on cuz the double sided tape didn't last Also people said they got their own parts and did it for less than 10.00

I emailed him and he called my cell back. Its not cancelled because it has already been sent.He told me if I was home while it was delivered ,to refuse it and then my card would be reimbursed,if not home I would send it back and get reimbursed..

Interesting about the CDC squirter kit, I have always loved CDC for their fantastic custumer service, if I have a problem after they are installed , I will contact them. I for one am going to give them a try, at this point, I am not going to stress out over 50 bucks!

So there you have it, I should have it on my car by late next week, hopefully Thurs. I will keep you all updated of problems and progress.
Sorry for the longwinded post!
Update? Haven't heard from the two who actually have the hood in possession.

Not much of an update, had a few complications along the way, I figured I would just wait until it was done. I had one set back because we picked up the wrong hood and the bodyshop actually started working on it before the mistake was discovered, Bruno had a driver deliver the correct hood to CT and take the other one back...it was the GTS1
I knew it did not look right, I even questioned it, but it was all wrapped up, plus the fact I had never seen one in person, I figured he was right and it would look different with paint on it. WRONG! When the GTS2 was delivered it was like night and day! MUCH MUCH NICER
bruno is picking up the tab for the additional work done on this hood, so I am happy enough
When they did the preliminary fit they needed to elongate the holes in my hinges to get the gaps even and get it even with the fenders in the front, other than that, the front edge had some divets and filler rework crapola probably from coming out of the mold,,, they will pick all the loose stuff out and then rework as nessesary, the body shop said it was a good quality hood compared to a lot of them, and that the GTS2 was better than the GTS1 from the day before! I did talk to Scott, he is the west coast giunea pig for trufiber..lol, he said the hood bolted right on and even fit better than the stock hood, go figure
I am doing one custom thing on the hood, the bodyshop and I both noticed the center line on the hood had a roundness that really did not go with the rest of the car, it is more like a bead going down the center, I would rather have it like the stock hood and the GTS1 hood, so guess what, they took it off completely and they are going to build it up to a small peak. I could have lived with it the way it was, I just wanted them to shape it a little while doing the prep, they decided to remove it for whatever reason, If they do what they say, it is going to look fantastic.
I bought some screen for underneath the louvers today at Advance Auto for 32.00. I got enough to do both louvers and the brake cooling ducts on my cobra...GOOD DEAL!
The only other thing I can think to tell you is the air dump does not dump directly over my air filter element/air box. Scott says his falls right on top of his air filter. He has a Whipple system, I have a K+N CAI with a TBS still in place, that may be throwing it off a little, I will know more when I get the car back.

Hope none of us have that type of problem. Specially those of here on the East Coast. Atleast the problem was completly solved.

They give you an ETA of completion?
