He is setting up his website as we speak just for our group buy!
I can tell you this, the deposit for the Gt 500 will be 200.00.
the other hoods will be paid in full. It will be 500.00, plus an additional 50.00 if you want the squirter kit for the wipers, this is also a discounted price and there will be no shipping, only shipping on the hood. You will be able to pay with a secured paypal acct, credit card, or personal check...your choice! the shipping will also be caculated for each individuals location when you are paying on their website!
Here is a new twist, he had one in his warehouse he had received from tru fiber because of his prior sales volume...so guess who agreed to be a guinea pig...Moi... yikes, I am a little scared, the last time I was first it was the hurst shifter, and that was an ordeal!
So, i am getting a 50.00 break, but that is a moot point as it will cost more than this in gas and tolls alone, forget about the hrs and hrs on the Jersey turnpike!
I am doing this to help us out, so people can see this thing painted and on a car...I just picked up my car last night from the body shop, it looks great again1 he is going to squeeze me back in on Tues to do the hood...he normally has a 2 week wait, but I told him our situation and how he would be doing the first one around these parts, and that I would post pics and tell everyone he did it, yadayadayada.
So there you have it, I should have it on my car by late next week, hopefully Thurs. I will keep you all updated of problems and progress.
Sorry for the longwinded post!

EDIT: If we cant get ten, I'm sure I can work out something for nine...the 5 will be there for sure
Sorry, little confused. Whose setting up the site for the group buy? TruFiber or the distributer? And those of us buying the GTS2 hood will pay the hood in full? Hood, nozzles and shipping at once?

I need a firm price on the GT500 hood before I can give a deposit. I'm sure you understand.

Your welcome to all.
The distributer is setting up the site, it should be ready in a day or two...it will be a link on their homepage just for our group buy, it is also going to have an option for anyone wanting a TRUFIBER hood only to order it and get the same discount as we are getting. Yes, Jonco, just as you said in your post, EXACTLY!
As far as the hood goes, I did pick it up, in fact it is still on top of my SUV in my work parking lot as I am typing this...lol.
The quality looked very good, and the packaging look fantastic...protective edging everywhere and totally shrink wrapped 100%.

Larmo, I kind of don't understand...How can you be part of a group buy if you are not going to leave a deposit, and they cant give us for sure pricing because it is not close to production yet, they are doing us the favor here!
These deposits will be 100% refundable, so where is the risk?
Also, you knew the price range of the Gt 500 hood going in, you also knew there was going to be a deposit that was going to have to be left.
So, if he is saying 750.00-900.00 range, probably closer to 800.00, and it ends up being 950.00, then back out and tell them why, case closed!

"Jonathan, you've successfully completed your payment."

I'm with Bill. Done and ordered. Although I wont have it painted our mounted for a few weeks. Save up some more mod money... Actually to save some money period. Hah

Do we know who is shipping the hoods? Company, tracking order number or anything? And do we know a time frame?

Stupid question, but shipping is done and paid for correct? I'm not going to have to pay any more upon delivery correct?

****! I'm ready to do the order right now but how do I order without incurring the shipping charge? I live right down the street from Trufiber and I'm planning to pick it up there and deliver to my body shop.

Do I have to wait until Monday and make special arrangements with BMC?

Mine won't actually go on until next April... funds and such being as they are, I'm collection body parts (Saleen Heritage front fascia, GT/CS rear fascia, GTS-2 hood, Xenon side skirts, Agent 47 mirrors) and in April when I get my bonus a full body wetsand to get rid of orange peel, and repaint.

It's going to be a long winter!

Thanks for the support and recommendations by everyone but I have zero patience when it comes to this hood so I placed my order and I'll have it drop shipped to my body shop. lol. Now if I can only stand the wait until Trufiber finally releases the production run. btw, is there a firm date for release?

Not sure what's confusing about it. I'm just hesitant to leave a deposit without knowing what the final price will be. Is that so far fetched?

Haha.

What do you mean only stand the wait till Trufiber releases the production run?

Also, theres a thread going around about the CDC relocation nozzles being... not so good. Do we have any word on if they've been improved?
