Trufiber Gts2
4 people for sure as of the moment, there are 2 guys who said they were in but have not PMed me their info ,they are TWISTED and Jonco...Jonco has been posting, Twisted , I have not seen anything!
Twisted, are you still in? If you are, please PM me your info....thanks

I PMed him he said he just recieved the hood and we should expect more pictures in about a week or two. Im super anxious to see the rear. If its any smoother then the GTS hood im 110% sold.
And/or if the rear looks anything like that GT500 hood your making. I...
perfect...
I would like to join in on the group buy but before I do, I have the following questions:
1. Will the underside of the hood clear my Saleen supercharger?
2. I live only a couple of miles from Trufiber's Anaheim, CA address, can I "will call" the hood from there? It would mean about $130 saving on shipping.
or
3. Will Trufiber drop ship the hood at my body shop? The reason I ask is that on the Cervini's site, if you purchase by CC they will only ship to the address on the CC unless payment is by check or money order; so not only would I have to pay shipping to my home, I would also have to deliver to my body shop - this is inconvenient since my body shop is about 50 miles from my home.

Do you have a link or can you tell me where I can see this picture of the GT 500 hood you are talking about?
Thanks, Dave

He said he thought that you could not pick it up directly at trufiber, and that drop shipping would only save you a few dollars because of the size, it does not matter if you are only going a few miles.
I would call trufiber and tell them you want to get in on our group buy, and if you could pick it up in a pick-up truck and bring it to your body shop, then it would cost you nothing but gas, and at the same time, ask them about the drop shipping!
We would love to have you on board!
As far as the super charger goes, dont know about the saleeen, but fits kenne bell and whipple no problem, they havent tested a saleen yet. Will the saleen fit under the stock hood, if yes, then it is a definate yes. Otherwise, I could only guess, you could call Saleen and askl them how much higher than stock their setup is, and then post it...we could figure it out from there!
The squirter kit will be shipped with the hood and their will be no shipping charge! Just the cost of 50.00 max, it may be a little cheaper.
To the guy I answered earlier ( REDFIRE281), you will be able to pick up your hood at trufiber and drive it away...NO SHIPPING! You will be also be part of our group buy, no problem! He also verified what I had said,if drop shipped, it is going to cost you 110.00 no matter if it is one mile up the road..that is the trucking company, if I were you, I would just borrow a pickup for a couple of hours!!!
So PM me your info if you want in for sure!
New Development:
I just worked this out today, My friend Ron(94tbird) is going to get a hood also, it is not a GTS2, it will be a CobraR hood, but he will be in our group buy, he will be getting about 15% off the price, which is about the same discount we will be getting...we are up to a definate 6 hoods with 2 more possibles at the moment.
If anyone wants another trufibre hood, let me know and we can get it on this group buy, I think this is a great opportunity...let me know!!
Just a quick note about how excited I am about the new GTS-2 hood. I've been a member for over a year and I have only 3 posts ..... all of them in this thread! lol
Here's some pics of my stang today. I can only imagine how sweet it will look after the new hood install.

I dont know how you managed a year without posted. Haha
Did you have to lower your engine any when you installed the Saleen s/c? Or did your hood allow you skip that step. I know the Saleen rubs the stock hood slightly. I'd guess, and only guess, the GTS-2 hood should clear the saleen s/c.Nice looking Mustang

I have got to try to get two GT 500 KR hoods approved tomorrow, if that is a go...WE WILL BE UP TO NINE PEOPLE!!
GOOD JOB GUYS!
Now did I read somewhere that the heat extraction vents on the hood had some kinda rain "block" or something? Something to deflect water from entering directly in? Or am I imaging things...
This is the attitude I've been complaining about. Yes straight is the exact way it was on the '68 but for a reason. The trailing edge of the '67 and '68 hoods were straight. I've posted a picture of a blue '67, please note the trailing edge of the hood. It would look stupid if the trailing edge of any scoops on this hood were curved. I've also posted one of the TruFiber GT500 hood photos so we can all see the big curve in the trailing edge of the hood (like we can't see it on our own cars)
. If it was the intent of the 68 designers to make the rear of the scoops run parallel to the rear of the hood then why can't designers of retro GT350 and GT500 hoods make the trailing edge of the scoops follow the curve of the hood. It's a natural progression in design. From all of the posts concerning the DCF hood, it looked good and a lot of folks liked it. DCF conviently took very few pictures of the trailing edge design of the hood and after I saw a few photos of it later on I was disappointed that DCF didn't complete the design package. I cannot speak for others but the reason I was attracted to the DCF hood was because the design married the look of the raised portion of the stock S197 hood and the dual snorkle intake of the '68 Shelby. It could never be an exact match because the 60's mustang hoods were almost as flat as a pancake. Our S197s have flowing curves both laterally and fore and aft. TruFiber finally got it right on their GT500 prototype (Venom?) hood but unfortunately it doesn't help those of us who can't afford or don't want to do the GT500 front end upgrade.
As I stated initally just because the 68 had a square cutoff doesn't wash with me in a design for the S197.
P.S. I'm not shooting the messenger here.
just my $.02
