I *can* be in on the GT500 hood ONLY... but I'm not thrilled with the news of the price being so high. I was expecting it to be in line with the other Trufiber hoods. What info do you need from me?

as i said, the GT 500 hood will be very a low number production, IE: limited supply, and I guess the price justifies the the tooling/R+D, etc,etc...
The other hoods are going to be produced in much higher numbers...the GT 500 front end is on a lot less cars!!!
I am awaiting the deposit details and will post as soon as I have the details

 

oklacop jus sent me a pm that he might be backing out, so we may be back to 9.
I tried to explain why it would be to his advantage to stay in this group buy rather than buy later...we shall see what he decides!!!

 

I think a lot of people say they want the hood but when the witching hour comes many people actually realize this is more than they can afford or are willing to afford..JMO

 

come on peeps! try to stay on track and commit to the group buy.

Regardless of whether or not this group buy gets off the ground, I WILL be buying this hood. It sure would be nice if we could get some solid commitments and get this going. I have the money in the bank waiting for the orders to send my payment in.

I agree. I'm pretty much in this. Whether it be for the 5 person group buy or the 10. Either way Im in.

 

+1. 5 person group buy price is okay with me. Anytime Trufiber is ready to release, I'm ready to pay.

 

I would buy it even if it wasn't part of any group buy..I'm tired of waiting and want to do it before I get bored of this model stang....

honestly..just go ahead and get it...

thats what i did. i personally could no longer wait for group buy...

its a great concept..but at times...people coming in and out..its hard to manage.....

though everyone has good intentions...

 

I think a 5 person group buy could deff be managed. Woulda been great to get 10 somehow but take what you can get.

We're SO CLOSE - it would be a shame to lose the group of 10 buy... there MUST be a lurker out there who would LOVE this hood

IMO - we wait until Dave gets the go-ahead to order... If we have 10 - great!!! if not - we get the group of 5 buy (if it's still available...)

As I said before - I'll be in on the 5 order - and will post pics for others.. my shop is itchin' to get the hood!! (itchin' for my cash, that is....)

I wish you guys would have just a little patiance and stop talking about getting out or buying on your own...this thing is happening for sure, we are only days away.It makes it very hard for me to talk to the distributer and try and get good things for us when in the back of my mind, and his is the possibility of people backing out, it makes my position less strong!
He is setting up his website as we speak just for our group buy!
I can tell you this, the deposit for the Gt 500 will be 200.00.
the other hoods will be paid in full. It will be 500.00, plus an additional 50.00 if you want the squirter kit for the wipers, this is also a discounted price and there will be no shipping, only shipping on the hood.You will be able to pay with a secured paypal acct, credit card, or personal check...your choice! the shipping will also be caculated for each individuals location when you are paying on their website!
Here is a new twist, he had one in his warehouse he had received from tru fiber because of his prior sales volume...so guess who agreed to be a guinea pig...Moi... yikes, I am a little scared, the last time I was first it was the hurst shifter, and that was an ordeal!
So, i am getting a 50.00 break, but that is a moot point as it will cost more than this in gas and tolls alone, forget about the hrs and hrs on the Jersey turnpike!
I am doing this to help us out, so people can see this thing painted and on a car...I just picked up my car last night from the body shop, it looks great again1 he is going to squeeze me back in on Tues to do the hood...he normally has a 2 week wait, but I told him our situation and how he would be doing the first one around these parts, and that I would post pics and tell everyone he did it, yadayadayada.
So there you have it, I should have it on my car by late next week, hopefully Thurs. I will keep you all updated of problems and progress.

EDIT: If we cant get ten, I'm sure I can work out something for nine...the 5 will be there for sure
