For those that want this to fit a GT500 fascia, Trufiber announced something in the works:

They're both functional.

Return to the thrilling days of Muscle Car Sixties with Keystone's retro-styled Mustang Good Hood. Designed from the original 1968 Mustang GT, the Keystone hood features functional Heat Extractor technology to reduce excess engine compartment operating temperature. The twin reverse scoops on the hood top are connected to a heat scavenging intake on the hood underside allowing excess temperature build-up to be 'pulled' out of the engine compartment. A cool design for a cool engine!

The Trufiber one is listed as SVT Style, but I think you'd be hard pressed to tell the two apart:

I appears you are referring to the one-of-a-kind original 3dCARBON Boy Racerâ„¢ hood that was on their car at 2005 SEMA which I understand was not functional. They also never brought the non-functional one to market as their expertise is in polyurethane products.

I was talking about the Boy Racerâ„¢ hood that is on the market which is manufactured by Keystone as per some arrrangement with 3dCARBON:
3dCARBON is pleased to announce the availability of the much anticipated Mustang Boy-Racerâ„¢ hood. The hood was first introduced at the International SEMA show in Las Vegas and has since appeared in many major magazines and at several enthusiast events.

In an effort to best serve 3dCARBON customers, a decision was made to collaborate with Keystone Restyling Products to manufacture and distribute this hood directly to distributors.

3dCARBON’s expertise at this time is in closed molded High Pressure Polyurethane. Keystone is best suited for composite applications. This alliance will allow 3dCARBON to continue focusing on urethane parts in the various markets we serve.

While the design is based on the original 3dCARBONBoy Racerâ„¢, Keystone is solely responsible for the manufacturing, distributing and servicing of issues related to this fiberglass hood. All inquiries 3dCARBON has received will be forwarded to Keystone for follow up and processing.

1. The way I read post #71, the first 5 GTS-2's should be available any day now and the next 20 in about 2-4 weeks from now. The GT-S is already available for ordering.
2. Looks cool (after allowing for color correction)! Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that's the GT-S, not the newer, smoother GTS-2 which this thread is about.
3. I believe the answer to that is yes.

Are you taking names for just the first 5? Or are you taking names for all 10? I'll have my definite answer to you within the next few days. Like I've said before, I'm 99% sure I'm in. Just making sure all the finances are in order and I will be using a CC for purchase.

I'm not gonna lie. I'd really love to see more pictures of the hood and of ones mounted on a Mustang before I take the plunge. Any word from Phil?

Anyways, I'll send you a PM soon.

He is taking names for the group of 10 so the price is 500..The price for the 1st 5 is 525 but Dave decided we could save 25.00 and wait for 10 people

Seems there was a lot of activity early on in this thread, and people's desire has fallen off for some reason. If you originally said you were in, then please PM davids2toys so we can get this ball rolling. I know I am getting this hood regardless of the group buy. Meaning even if the group buy doesn't happen, I'm getting it. It sure would be nice to save some $ with the group buy though.
