BFG G Force All Season 255/50/R17
I plan on putting a positive spin on it. That the car handles much better with wider tires. Plain and simple. Ford gives us more power with less rubber. My 03 had similar tires to what I just put on and outhandled the 05 on turns. You would think that Ford would want to give us the same if not better.
I think the new tires look better too. Side benifit.

I love my 05. I no longer miss my 03. But on a funny note: I was going through old documents and found the survey that they sent out for my 03, unopened! Sure enough there was a crisp 1 dollar bill inside that survey too.
Breaks work great! I'm sure the tires helped too. Driving around a corner with traffic stopped. No Warning. The car stopped on a dime.

Where is that photo of your ride with the new tires?
I heard that you were getting it done today.

I got a verbal agreement with Discount Tire this weekend, they're going to give me a $320 take-off credit for the PZero's, and I'm going to give the 255/50 Nitto 450's a try this first time around.
Now I just need to hope the car comes on time!

I wish some one would buy my tires! I never investigated getting something for them because I did not know that I would not like them until I bought the car.
My other Stang wants them but does not need them yet. My fiance will start putting miles on the 02 when she moves in with me in January and will need these tires eventually.

Went back to my dealer today to price some Ford parts. Parked in front next to two V6 Stangs on display out front. On the way out two would be stang owners wanted my tires. They could not believe I switched them so soon but thought that they looked so much better when you could compare them straight away with the stock.
I am liking the new rim though. I love the bullets, but those new machine rims are very very good too.

The 02 V6 Coup will need new rims after this winter. It has 16 inch rims now. I like the body style and think bullets will look good on it too. I hate to waste the new rubber that now serves as an end table in my living room.
The V6 currently has 225s on it. My fiance's driving is sedate... No, rather, it is SEDATE. These tires will do fine. I drive the car once a week now just to show her some lovin' and to make sure nothing is wrong with her (the car).
She loves the V6 so I will keep it looking good for her.

Yeah, I meant the 05 V6 38. The stock tires on the V6 look too thin to me, need some wider tires on it too! Maybe with some American Racing slot mags! They're coming out with them again in Jan........
AMERICAN RACING WHEELS RELEASES THE HISTORIC SLOT MAG
AR Retro-Engineers and Re-Introduces the Legendary Sixties Ansen Slot Mag
Los Angeles—Los Angeles-based American Racing Equipment, Inc., one of the world’s largest and most historic automotive aftermarket wheel manufacturers, has refined and re-introduced the original Ansen slot mag, one of the most recognized custom wheel designs emerging from the true rod and custom era of the late sixties and early seventies.
Originally offered in the mid-sixties by various manufacturers, the Ansen-style Sprint slot mag was featured on many of the most famous racing, custom and muscle cars of the period, including the 1976 Ford Gran Torino of Starsky and Hutch. Remaining true to its unique and historic roots, American Racing’s new Ansen-style slot mag will be manufactured of aluminum alloy, but will be polished to a brilliant finish for restoration and custom applications. The new Slot Mag has been retroengineered to fit a variety of lug patterns and more modern tire and brake packages, including 15x7 inch 4-lug patterns for earlier Mustangs. To complete the product package, American’s designers added sizes to fit today’s custom trends—the Ansen Sprint slot mag will be offered in 15x7, 15x8, 17x7 and 17x8 inch sizes, with correct backspacing requirements for most period restoration cars and trucks. It is the first time that a slot-mag style has been shown in 17 inch sizes, outside of a few early “skinnies” used for drag racing in the sixties.
The release of the new Ansen Sprint Slot Mag was announced at the 2004 SEMA Show.
Availability
Available in January, 2005, the Ansen Sprint-style slot mag will be available from American Racing’s 25,000 retailers across the U.S. and in more than 25 countries worldwide.

Falchion,
Put up a picture of the Slot Mag. I'm in the market for 17 inch rims for my 02 coup (v6).
Boss Hog,
Now that we have the wheels, we need to put Racing springs on these puppies and lower them an inch.

American Racing hasn't released pics of their slot mags yet, but here's a link to a pic of one of a slot mag from a 1976 Ford Gran Torino of Starsky and Hutch fame.

Falchion,
Looks good, but I like the machined rims on the new 05 better. I thought the slots would be smaller. Must be a pain keeping the aluminum clean. Powder coating it may make it look really cool too.
