BFG G Force All Season 255/50/R17
The website states that there are Pirelli 215/65/R16 AS on the V6, but this is a scan of the vehicle's window sticker that came from Ford. So it seems that this is a dealer option or arrangement.

You are correct about the tire, I am wrong on the scanned lable since it was hard to read.
Of interest though, is Battlefield Ford in Manassas will put different tires on the car to get the deal. Either an 05 gt or V6.
At least thats what the sales person said.
I think that they are having trouble pushing the v6 out the door. Maybe the bloom has worn off the initial sales rush.

38, so how long have you had the new treads on the car now, what would be your review so far, i am shopping as we speak for tires, are you experiancing any of the woes some of thge customers at tire shack were talking about.
I was on my way to a doctors appt, as a matter a fact i was running late, when what do i see on the right parked in resteraunt...M.G. mustang GT, nice and clean, so i pulled over and backed up , got out , checked it out, he had 18" wheel, looked just like the bullet wheels only chrome and 18", also hhad a snake in the centercap...the tires were NEXUM 265x 35xR18......car looked tough sh_t, Like it was going to a darn gunfight.....cant wait till mine comes in!!!
If i had not been running late i would have went in to find the guy and find out how he liked them.
Do you think those centercaps would go on the bullitt wheels, I am not opting for wheels in the near future, tires though, are a must, do the 255's bow out off the wheel more than stock, the pirelli/bullitt match just doesnt look right, almost like the wheel is to wide for the tire

I bought the car 10/28
Ditched the tires on 11/16
So that would mean almost one month on the car.
On Wednesday I was driving up the Rock Creek Parkway in Washington DC.
I was one of the first cars allowed on the road after the rush hour lane direction changed back to two way traffic. This is a very curvy road along a creak bed through the center of our nation's capital. Very scenic. A red sports car tried to keep up with me, but I lost him after the first couple turns. Great ride.
On the old Pirellis I would not have trusted the car on sharp turns at speed. This is another reason that I do not like automatic transmissions since a manual gives you more control options in a turn. The BFG Gforce are very sticky tires. I guess it depends on what type of driving you enjoy as to whether you like the BFGs or not.
The tires themselves have a rienforced sidwall which reduces the bow caused by putting a 10 inch tire on an 8 inch rim.
I am sold on the tire. Rain conditions or dry. If I had more money I would buy a more expensive Goodyear tire that I had on my 03 GT Vert, but for the money the BFG Gforce are a great buy.
You can always spend more money for better quality but at some point there is less bang for the buck.

with 1600 miles on the tires, I have not noticed anything appreciable in regards to wear. I always let the handling of the car determine when I look for wear on my tires because you will always notice it behind the wheel first. I still have the funny colored marks inside the tread.
i thought the colored part is all the way down at the bottom of the thread, how many miles do you expect to get at the present rate of wear?
I was just on the tire rack site, they have a bfg scorcher T/A,255x50 17 got pretty good reviews, W rated, one guy said he had 36000 on his car and still looked good....did you do any research into this tire, the price is 79 DOLLARS, closeout price!!! WADAYATHINK

I do not know about that tire. I am not an expert. I would want to know how it handles in bad weather if I lived in the North. I suspect that it has better wear factors than the G Force and would be less sticky. This is the trade off. If you want your tires to grab the road you usually lose tread faster, i.e. a softer compound. My goodyears on my 03 gt gave me 23000 miles and I felt a difference in handling at 15000. I replaced those tires, even though there was tread left because I was not going to change how I drove or lose any trust in the car when it mattered most.
Rotated my tires today. Discovered a small leak in my rear drivers tire due to a staple in the inside sidewall! :notnice: Thank god I bought insurance on these tires. The replacement was 132 dollars less than new!
This tire is now on the front drivers side and my natural pull to the right is reduced somewhat with this tire being larger by a tad. It still pulls to the right, but barely. In another 5000 miles it will be on the rear and not cause any trouble.
Another thing that I noticed is that the rear tire well does not shield the rear muffler from road debris, and the muffler is starting to rust. Why did Ford leave this area open to road salt from a tire that will throw it directly on to the muffler? :notnice:
I am already thinking of a fix.

All front end allignments will have the car drift slightly to the right so as to prevent head on crashes if a driver falls asleep. With a brand new tire on the front left it will affect the car a slight bit. Why? Because it takes longer to turn one compleat rotation. Slower than the right front. It will pull to the left slightly. Because the car is alligned to pull to the right slightly, it now only barely pulls to the right.
A better term might be "natural alligned drift to the right", but there was very little tread wear at 5000 miles which is good! The replacement tire cost me 26 dollars which is based off of tread wear. More tread wear, less money.

Thanks, but that is what folks are supposed to do. I know it can be easier to create a new thread, but I thought it related more to this old one.
This way your compliment means so much more, so thanks again!

No complaints what so ever. Great tires. Pretty good on snow and ice too.
I will buy these again.
stinks that I got a flat, but when I replace them I will keep the tire that I just got as a full size spare and pick up another rim and rear seat delete kit.
