Gnats? Those were gnats? Dude - I thought they were sparrows, based on the size of them in the pics!

Well, at least we can tell the boy gnats from the girl gnats!

Nice picks Paul! I like the width. Take a look at the last pic and notice how nice the fender to wheel-well gap looks. It hasn't changed but filling the well brings the tire closer to the outside of the fender eliminating some of the "perceived" gap.

Almost everyone that makes a comment about the car notices "matter of factly" that the rears are somewhat different. i.e., "is that the way they come?" or, "I see Ford puts a little wider tires on the rear, looks good!".
The car definitely looks more hunkered down with the wider tires.
After I get some wear on the standard tires, i"ll spring for more 255's for sure.

By the look of it . The 235's are still on the front. You need a set of 255's for the front to balance it out!!

I ordered a set of 255/50/17 kuhmo Ecta ASX from the tirerack to put on my Stang whenever it arrives. It was built 10-25-04 been sitting in Kansas City Missouri at the railyard waiting on a transport truck to deliver it to the dealership in Texas. As soon as I saw the pictures of 38specials tires. I knew I had to put 255's on mine. The 255's look awesome on the 05. I can't wait to get the car and put the 255's on it. Thanks for the pictures 38special.

I doubt if the New 05 will sneak up on anyone. The engine noise can be heard for several blocks. My fiance saw me off the other day. Went several blocks away and she still heard me until I missed a light and had to stop.

My car was built 11-01 and I've had it since last Tuesday. You should have your new pony very soon! Good luck!

38, thanks!

Yeah, I prolly could have covered an entire car show with one snap shot!
Could have saved lots of money covering SEMA.

Nice photos. What is the speed rating of those tires? How much trade in did you get on your take offs?

No one would talk "trade-in". Tire shops told me the stock tires were an odd ball size and not enough demand to put them in their inventory.

That was just my experience though.

Wild Stray should hook up with Poney express so that he can afford to put 255s on the front.

Wild, you know you want it! :worship:

I'll lick a stamp and find out where he's located. Tires must be very interesting items to ship!

I received my official Ford Survey today. They included 1 dollar cash money. No direct question about the tires but there is a section on steering and handling.

Did you put that the car handled poorly?
