George, I think the springs are just on the strong side, but I want to keep the springs in and see how they feel once the springs are broken in. I have not missed 2nd gear at all, though I have to use some force to put it into 5th gear (no big deal). I have it adjusted at 10 turns and at the lowest point on the shifter handle. I'm happy with the shifter and have had it installed for 3 days now. Thanks.

Springs are a little strong, but that makes for positive centering. You can't have it both ways. I am very pleased, and wouldn't change a thing. I also grew up with a Muncie with a Hurst shifter. For a lot of people this could be their first stick car, and have no experience with how things used to feel. Top notch product.

i have found some new springs that actually have a progressive rating on them . in other words they start out soft and get stronger as they compress so they are actually easier to shift but still have that snap back i want to 3rd and 4th. i will be sedning them out to everyone with the new bushings this week and all the shifters that have gone out this week will have them and the mgw bushings in them.

also,

i have about 6 guys that have not called me back in over a week about whether they want the shifter or not. i have backup buyers waiting in line for these so if i do not hear from you by firday then i am going to let them have them. so call us if you still want them!!!!!

george

Hmmm, I think I would like to try those. But I do like the way it is now after using for a week. If its an easy swap, I would try em

George , I got my call quite some time ago , but said to wait on the bushings. I see now that you've started shipping with the bushings , should I have received my tracking number by now ? My card was charged 2 days ago on 4/10 ...

Thanks George, I got the bushings and springs today. I've installed the springs and I think these springs will work better for me. It's only been a year since I had my right shoulder repaired. I'll drive it with the new ones for a few days to be sure.

i htink you will really like these new springs. i have also noticed that if you guys set the **** up so that the bottom shaft is only sticking out the bottom of the black handle about 1/4" that the effort is much less to shift and still short. works really well this way for me anyway.

I havent had much chance to drive my car. Crappy weather, and work is .6 miles from home. 20mph speed limit all the way there.

But everytime I do drive it I got that 1st day grin all over again!
