Hey George....

It looks like I only got between 25% to 30% response on the Flat Handle poll... I was hoping for a little higher number. It looks like Sketch #2 was the hands down winner.

If you ever decide to make a proto type I'd be glad to test it for you... thanks for the consideration.

The new **** is truely modernistic in its design... nice work.

Leather E brake Cover

While looking at the picture of the new MGW shifter **** I noticed a leather E brake cover. Where can I get one of these?

That is a Shelby GT 500 e-brake handle. It is Ford Racing Part #M-2302-C. I installed one in my Mustang. I think Taco Bill has a "How To" on it. You have to take out the center console and replace the entire ebrake lever. I installed mine when I installed my MGW shifter.

ding ding times up!

sorry george but I had to I haven't been so excited about a mod in awhile and this one really has me going. Also do you think you could do custom jobs at all? Maybe possibly replacing the black semi circle sides with carbon fiber? Probably would be expensive but I'd be curious if so!

Shift Handle Spinning

I'm having an issue with the shift handle spinning in the black shift block. I figured I just didn't tighten it enough, but after a couple of tries it still spins. Once tightened down and the shift **** is on, I can move it back and forth with my fingers, like if the shift **** was loose. I thought it was the shaft spinning inside the metal sleeve, but it's not, its the whole shaft and metal sleeve moving inside the black shift block. Anyone have this problem before?

Probably a stupid question, but did you assure to line up the groove on the shift handle with the opening on the black block?

i know you may feel like you are getting tight enough but you may just have to get tighter on BOTH bolts with the allen wrench. also make sure the slit is lined up in the cutaway. get REALLY tight back and forth on both bolts. it should tighten no problem. if you strip the bolts or break the block just call me and a new one will be on the way asap.

I initially had that problem, but didn't think to check the alignment of the shaft. Didn't know that it should be aligned to the opening. I think that when I had this problem, I thought that the **** was loose. I kept on cranking the **** **** and it never stopped being able to be turned. Once I figured it out, I noticed that I got the **** on waaaayyy too tight on the shaft. I had to take the shaft out to take the **** loose. Now you know why I rarely work on my own car. Such a duufffuuuusss...

Thanks George. I cranked both bolts down fairly well last night, as evenly as possible, and although I can still turn the shaft, it did tighten up. Guess I'll torque it down some more tonight. I was just worried about a) Stripping the bolts and/or b) messing up the block. Thanks for the input.

Oh, and like you don't have enough to do already, can't wait for the 12x1.75 threaded shafts to come out. Really want to put on the 94-04 MGW Gripper back in the car. I have the 05 Gripper with GT, but really like the 94-04 with the pony medallion!!!
