If the weather cooperated this morning I would have finished correcting my car’s finish. I was able to get the driver’s side hit with compound to correct some scuffing that my winter cover created. Looking good so far! Something therapeutic and hypnotizing about running a DA polisher on a car.

Tomorrow back it.

Looking good there Burton. Boy that neighbor's house is flying up. Not taking them long at all... Before you know it you will have a family living right next to you.

Ha ha. Salesmen should be trained in the fine art of automobile sales. A little knowledge goes a long way.

Drove it and got code p2282 again, air leak between throttle body and intake valve. Looks like I'll have to take the intake manifold off and try to figure out what I did wrong when I had it off last week.

I put the top down and drove to Bass Pro Shop and picked up some ammunition for my GSG FireFly .22LR semiautomatic.

maintenance

So I'v been busy working on my v6 car and yesterday I replaced the lower and upper door hinge's. It was time consuming but I followed a step by step process and it took about three hours. The door now shuts without any effort and lines up. I also found a nice third brake light in better condition and installed that as well. My next project will be replacing the O/D button on the shifting stick and the bezel which is in poor condition.

Just a note: I went to Tire Rack here in Denver Friday and bought a nice set of tires, it took about 10 minutes and I was on my way home. Nice service at the warehouse.

Drove for about an hour with no engine light. Not much traffic so I decided to try a couple of 0-60 runs and the light came on again on the second run. Pushed some buttons on the Cobb AP and it said P04DB, which is PCV disconnected. Ummm, no, it isn't, I just double-checked that for the second time a couple days ago. Googled it and read that lots of EB drivers have gotten the same code for no obvious reason, so I reset it and I'll see if it comes back.

Your stress test (0-60) caused the codes...

Took a nice cruise with my Cars & Coffee gang to Plumb Island here in MA. Great top down weather yesterday after a week of stifling humidity. Of course the last ten minutes heading home I hear a ping on my passenger door...rock chip. A small one that I shoukd be able to make disappear.

Wife and I took both cars to the NH Mustang Club annual picnic.
Had a great time, nice people and cars.
The location is on a private road, the owner was heard (by me, for sure ) saying that if you ate their food you have to leave rubber when you leave.
Who am I not to comply with such a request?
I promptly laid down twin stripes for about 100 feet.

Some pics:

Funny that of all these white/blue-stripes Shelbys, the one with the biggest engine and most horsepower was driven by a woman. My wife.
