Gave the Green Machine a nice bath with ADAM'S Waterless Wash in the garage, followed by a wipe down of ZAINO Z-8 detail spray last weekend. ZAINO Tire Shine on the tires as well. About 2 to 2 and a half hours time .
Killer combo. Was hoping to take her out this morning, but the roads are a little wet from the rains last night. Possibly early tomorrow then.

Passenger side rocker panel stripe has been crooked for about a year, and today I finally decided to strip it off and do it over. Now it's less crooked.

Also striped my trunk lid. For some reason, those curves were harder to work with than the hood. There's a few small wrinkles on the back, so I'll probably redo them eventually, but they're adequate for now.

Also put tribar ponies on the fenders. Those went on straight. Small victories!

I envy you and the time you are able to spend detailing her. The most I've done lately is Blackfire wipe down I've been so busy, it sucks.

Tried to do some exhaust work, got 3 out of 4 nuts removed.
Last nut, only access I have to it is from under the hood, using a 24" extension and a 6" extension.
Rounded it off even though I used a ton of penetrating oil on it, and it's the last one I need to remove.
I used damaged-nut/bolt extractors of various sizes, all that did was destroy it some more.
My chisels are too short to get in there, gonna pick up a long one tomorrow and see if I can finally take this thing off.

Yeah, it's down there, flipping me off ...

That is why I have been afraid to put long tube headers on my 2011. I am afraid of the exhaust bolts. It looks like you need a good oxy-acetelene torch. Heat will take things off that nothing else will. Good luck on getting it apart without too much damage.

I thought about using my plumbing torch, also thought about drilling out the stud head from the bottom.
We'll see tomorrow.
I gave up for the night, went upstairs, took a shower, sat in my recliner, had some wine, a couple pain pills, and some dinner.
Looking forward to sleeping.
Sucks getting old, so many pains everywhere ...

Oh yeah I got it off.
Had to get a long thin chisel to get its seal broken and get its rotation started,
Then a variety of sockets and extractor sockets it eventually came off.
But it's not gonna get re-used anytime soon again ... lol

Congrats Gabe! So now your exhaust almost sounds as loud as mine? lol I haven't done an exhaust vid in a while. I need to do that.

Btw, on the topic of exhaust long-tube/header removal and install, remember - that's why I had my shop buddy do the removal and the install of my Kooks LT's. Ain't no way I'm doing that. I would have messed up a nut/bolt worse than you, then I'd have been stuck with the car in the garage and having to have it towed to the shop anyway. No thanks. I did everything on Marilyn EXCEPT the headers. No sir. No thank you.
