A few more cars would've been nice, lol.
We were honestly surprised at the low turnout.
I'm sure the weather had a lot to do with it.

Today the wife and I drove the Shelby down to the dealership she bought it from to get the passenger side airbag recall done.
We were there about an hour and a half, and had a fun ride back and forth.
I drove down, she drove back.
Every time I drive that car it makes me wish my GT had more displacement, hahaha

.

I finally had a chance to get the snow tires off. Wanted to put on new Baer Eradispeed+ brake rotors at the same time, but only the rear set had been delivered. I waited as long as I could hoping they'd show up, but gave up and decided to just change the wheels, and as I was grabbing my tools Brown Santa showed up in his UPS sleigh and delivered the front rotors. So I got the whole thing done yesterday. Rear rotors are each 6 pounds lighter, fronts are each 10 pounds, aftermarket rims are each 17 pounds lighter, and that works out to an even 100 pounds of total weight, unsprung weight, and rotating mass. Win win win. And then it rained all day so I haven't been able to find out how it feels when I push it. Maybe on Friday...

I also added a bunch of cheap chrome-ish trim bits to the interior, cuz shiny is better.

Wheelskins leather wrap on the steering wheel. Looks like a totally amateur job. But I think I've got the hang of it now and plan to straighten out the crooked parts tomorrow.

Nice Tony.

I took out the sandbags from each mustang.
I vacuumed out each car and dusted.
God I love Weathertech mats in the green car. The carpet stays so nice.
Now I would like to claybar the car if I can get up the energy.

Today I had several projects.

1. BG Synchro Shift II replaced the stock manual transmission fluid. It is definitely noticeable and I wish I'd done it sooner. Pumping that handle for 10 minutes was an exercise in patience. Huge difference. I didn't expect it to be as much of a change as it was. Highly recommended mod.

2. Steeda G-Trac K Brace installed. This was a bargain find. I hadn't planned to buy it immediately, but on a whim I checked Amazon and they stocked it, so I checked the warehouse deals and they had a damaged box for $100. With 5% off to use the Amazon store card, it came to $95. When it arrived, it was repacked in a new box, but otherwise was perfect.

This would have been easier on a lift and not on jack stands. It's already a little unwieldy to move around and hold up in a tight space as it is. However, it was even more so a pain in the butt for the front drivers side bolt. It didn't line up perfectly at the top, so it was difficult getting it in. The spacer didn't help matters, so a little electrical tape to hold it place was needed. Finally I had to simply bolt the other 3 in fairly tight, and then use a mallet for a few good whacks, and "screwed" it in the more using a pair of pliers. Once it was started enough to hold the bolt, it was easy to simply ratchet it the rest of the way in.

3. Rear IRS Sub-frame braces. These were really super simple to install. Everything lined up nicely, and took the least amount of time of all of the installs today.

The G-Trac K, and the IRS Sub-frame weren't as noticeable of a change, but it does seem tighter up front and more planted out back.

Monday I'm going to Dallas Mustang for the quick-latches, and a Dyno. I'll post the results then.

And next will likely be blowfish transmission bracket/driveshaft loop, and then suspension. I'm a little worried about the suspension install doing it myself, but I'll probably give it a shot, and see if I can bribe a friend/or new friend to help out.

Today was new ARP wheel studs on the rear and new FRPP front hubs with the ARP studs. Then bolted on a new set of Apex Racing EC-7 wheels (19x10) with Nexen NFERA SUR4's (275-35-19). Now I need to find the time for a brake flush and new pads and it is ready for my first track outing of the year.

Awesome!! I'm actually applying with Apex as a Mustang Product Specialist! I'm tired of working at a boring job...thinking I need to get into Motorsports and they're local to me.

Yes, Mike V, good guy, he's working on a build by this time next year he's planning on being at 1100-1300 rwhp.

I sat in his car to see what the view forward is like with the 4" hood up there ... it didn't make me want that 4" obstruction, lol.

3", maybe

Hah mine is bad enough. I work in Oakland there's lots of hills. I constantly have to prop myself up with the steering wheel as I'm cresting hills to make sure I'm not about to run over any crackheads stumbling around in the street

It is always easier going to work when you like what you are doing. I wish you luck on getting in with Apex.

So if this Mike V guy is looking at 1100-1300 hp what's he currently have?
