What did you do with your Mustang today?*
Put my old drag radials on the front of the car test-fitting them, I was surprised when they fit perfectly with no spacers needed.
And the freakin' front-end grip !!!!
Why did I do this?
Autocross this Saturday, and the grip from the 275/35/20 555 G2's wasn't what I needed at last event, so I was looking for more.
I think I just found it!
305/40/18 NT555Rs on the front on OEM SVT 18x9.5 wheels
305/35/20 NT555Rs on the rear on Niche Milan 20x10 wheels

Nothing at all
One sits on a lift doing nothing. One sits on cribs in pieces. The other sits waiting to be driven but I never do. And there's still one more in storage across town gathering dust that wouldn't run if I tried.

Just ordered a new serpentine belt, belt tensioner, and another OEM idler pulley, just in case there's a weird looking one when I do the job.
$65 shipped for all OEM stuff from rockauto.com
Already have a new blower belt.
Don't want to reinstall the 4-year-old 37k-mile serpentine belt when I do the blower belt.
Will also install the 170-degree thermostat I've had for over a year, and most likely install the 3.125" Whipple pulley.
The newly hydro-dipped coolant tanks should be ready today or tomorrow.
Re-tune in about a week, with a different tuner than the last time.

Btw, why a new belt??? Can't the idler absorb the decrease in pulley size? So how many psi will you be running now? guessing 11ish?
We'll see.
As far as the blower belt, half of it is wearing off onto the pulleys, so it's gotta go.
Boost, I think it's the 10-11 psi pulley.
Looking forward to seeing just how much I'm gonna get out of it though.
Currently on the 9-10 psi pulley and I'm seeing max of 7-8.
Here's how my belt looks like right now:

A friend with the same set-up on his '14, no play in his pulley. Nice and tight.
So I replaced mine with the silver Thump Racing pulley that's seen in the pic above.
Was hoping the belt would be OK, but apparently that's not the case.
Once I take things apart, hopefully tomorrow, I'll have a better idea if other pulleys or falling apart.

As for the belt, that is weird with that center wear from that idler.

I had just replaced an idler pulley because half of it had the paint worn off (the same half that the belt is wearing onto), and when it was installed I could grab it and it had a little bit of play side to side.A friend with the same set-up on his '14, no play in his pulley. Nice and tight.
Did the pulley have play on it when you installed it Gabe? Maybe the heavy flogging had something to do with it?
The old pulley had a bit of play side to side.
New silver Thump Racing pulley has no play in it, it seems fine.
Belt's screwed up, and I think the old pulley killed it.
Good luck sir.
It sounds bad when I read it back to myself, I'm not trying to "pick on" the guys with smaller belts or things like that, my original was I think an 8-rib belt too so I'm coming from a smaller one as well. I've just had this 10-rib on here since I put the KB on the top and I've gotten used to seeing it every time I get under the hood, it was a shock to see one that was that much smaller.
