It's mushed up beans with other spices. Looks gross. And the hippies of the Bay Area love it, especially the Prius owners. Therefore I do not eat it. Even IF it's good, and/or good for me.

 

its no hippie food... its eastern food and hippies like to eat things from other places so they feel cultured and travelled.

 

I'll leave the chick peas to the Egyptians. I've had the stuff and its just not that appetizing.

Hummus is ok. Not sure what the hell youre supposed to do with it though. I'm not gonna eat it like a mound of mashed potatoes or a bowl of beans. It's pretty good thrown on a pita with all the other Greek food on it also like a burrito. By itself, it's just confusing and not very exciting.

It's **** good with shish kabobs! Especially chicken!
