Fired up the grill for the first time this new year and cooked up some boneless rub-eyes along with a salad, some fresh hummus, and stuffed mushrooms wrapped in bacon along with some pita bread.

My grill doesn't get a rest period, lol. Hot, cold, rain, snow, doesn't matter. If there's meat around, the grill is gonna get fired up.

I have a good recipe, but it takes two days. You make a starter dough one day, then the main dough the next.

Lol. I work in Gonzales. Don't really use recipes. Just google shrimp stew recipes. I believe Emeril has a pretty good one. That little drive thru daiquiri hut is still open. Along with about 5 other ones.

Heh, you wouldn't believe the number of hummus converts I've created. The store bought stuff is okay but its an entirely different experience when you make the stuff fresh (well mostly fresh I don't take time to get dried chickpeas and soak them and I buy the ground sesame seed in the form of already made tahini).

The funny part is when I cook the steaks and make the salad everybody expects the hummus and I actually get complaints when I leave it out.

Anyways, its become tradition, I fix steak it comes with a salad and hummus plus pita plus one other item that varies with my mood.

I've never had hummus. Hell, I don't even know what it is, only heard of it.
