I'm cooking boeuf bourguignon again this evening - a great recipe with which to drink a little red wine and it means I can cook for my darling wife.

Just looked at the weekly sale paper, and Conecuh is on sale for $3.39/lb. Perfect timing, I'm down to my last 1/2lb in the freezer.

It was on sale, $3.39lb. I know we're going to be eating it anyway, might as well stock up the freezer and save some money at the same time.

I don't really eat that much of it. Just fix a couple of pieces when we have burgers, or occasionally a couple pieces with pancakes and bacon, or biscuits and gravy. Maybe a dog every once in a while for lunch.

I rarely ever fix a whole pack, unless we've got company. I keep one pack in the main freezer. I cut it in half so most of the pieces are bun length and put it in a ziplock bag. Then if I want a dog, or a couple of pieces to mix in with breakfast meals, I can just get out however many I want and leave the rest in the freezer.
