Chi-pote-lay (not Chee-pote-lay)...at least around here. I've also heard Cha-pote-lay.

I always hear people pronounce it chi-pote-lee, but you have to consider the source #hillbillies

Spanish is so ****ing easy to pronounce. Each vowel only has one pronunciation to it.

i is a long e like in burrito

o is a long o like taco

And è is the long a like in olé

so it's chee poat lay

Of course they don't use the é in their spelling so they've screwed it up

So I guess it would be chee poat luh which I've never heard anyone say

In this day and time, I'd say Chinese would be the most beneficial.

Hard to believe that place is so good, when IIRC they are owned by McDonald's.

I looked it up and they are not owned by McDonalds. They are a publicly traded company on the NYSE. CMG. They do however have two retired officers of McDonalds serving currently in their board of directors.

I noticed their stock the other day on one of the market channels and was a bit shocked to see the price of it, and what its done over the last 4-5 years.

That looks healthy, probably what I should have had tonight instead of a grilled dog.

After further research they were pertly owned from like 1999-2004 by McDonalds. Never wholly. And since 2004 McDonalds has fully divested all stock. They made a tidy profit from the sale. Sold their stake for like $1.5b when the stock went public.
