I don't use gas grills because the flavor is never as good with them as it is with a wood fire. It takes a little time, but learning how to manage the temperature is just as easy as turning a **** on a propane grill. Much better flavor with wood.
I would starve to death. That's barely anything! Does look good though.

Venison sausage & shrimp jambalaya, chicken tetrazinni, elk chili, sushi, black beans & jalapeno corn bread.
Went to a pot luck with no instructions on what to bring and everyone brought a main dish. It was awesome

We did that when I was a child. All of our beef was home-grown. I remember when we moved to another city, we had to eat steaks that were from the store and they were terrible. It took some getting used to. I am hoping at some point to get to where I can keep a steer or two on my property. There are better options at the store now, but it's still not as good as beef raised by yourself that has been fed what you want to feed it. I would imagine it's the same with pork or poultry as well.

Even those burgers in the first pic are different. They come from the whole cow, ribeye, tbones, chuck roasts, filets, etc. all ground up. Best burgers you'll ever have.

Scored a 80lb. sack of oysters last night. Had some friends over and shucked away. We fried about 6 dozen, grilled a few dozen, and slurped down the rest on the half shell. Oysters, friends, and brews....great night!
