One of my top 5 movies ever. Billy Bob Thornton is a ****ing genius in that movie. Wrote it, directed it, starred in it, produced it, etc. That is some serious ****ing talent. Every character in that movie was cast perfectly. Hell, most people that aren't fans don't even realize that my favorite actor is in it because its such a small part he plays, just a couple of lines.
It's no Shawshank, but still a great movie

Canned chili FTW.
Gotcha. I thought you meant you couldn't cook at all. I'm thankful my husband likes to cook and it's usually ready by the time I get home

Dice tow or three Roma tomatoes and put them in a large bowl. Open a full container of mozzarella ciliegini (mozzarella cherries) packed in olive oil and herbs. We get ours at Trader Joe's, but they are likely available elsewhere. Cut the ciliegini in half and add them and all the olive oil and herbs to the tomatoes. Take several fresh basil leaves and cut them into smallish pieces and add them to the bowl. Cook some pasta (perhaps half a box of mini rotini works well), drain it and add it to the bowl. Stir it all around. You may wish to nuke it in the microwave for a minute as the mozzarella will have come out of the fridge and will be cold. That frequently chills the pasta rather than the other way around.

I have not included a photo as much of the joy of this dish is seeing how beautiful it is when you get it all put together. You'll have the red, white, and green of the Italian flag. This dish is simple and quick and delicious.
variations of caprese salads are one of my favorite sides. Sometimes I use arugula and basil too, and sometimes i can get a hold of buffalo mozzarella. yours with pasta sounds DELICIOUS! wish you had a pic!

Looks good! We are not that far away from each other. Perhaps we'll have the opportunity to meet one of these days. Foodies should get together.

Every time we have some sort of CHKD thing at work I get drafted (as I have no choice but to do it) doing some sort of chicken dish for a lunch.

I was going to toss together some beer battered chicken fingers but decided instead to do quick and dirty "chicken shawarma" sandwiches along with some tahini sauce and hummus.

It turned out real good although I was a few hours late to the lunch and it turned out to be a dinner they still managed to sell all of the meal I made for charity. I cooked about seven pounds of chicken and around a cup of tahini sauce and about 3 or 4 cups of hummus along with a dozen or so loaves of pita to stuff the meat into.

I altered the recipe a bit by adding in some peppers and onions during the final cooking of the chicken and folded in some fresh parsley for added color as I cooked the batches of chicken.
