I've seen that look before, except the one I see has the droopy eyes to go with it.

Made some roasted potatoes. Dear mercy they were perfect. Wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Just a slight crunch on the outside while still being soft on the inside.

Yesterday was a rough day so dinner was chicken noodle soup and biscuits.
Tonight going for grilled salmon steaks, baby red potatoes, salad, chardonnay.

Believe it or not, we went to Planet Hollywood in Orlando and it was great. Really had a fun time there too. Unfortunately the Florida coast has fantastic fresh seafood and nobody has a clue how to cook it there. Lol. A few of my chef buddies could go out there and just take over the restaurant business out there. We hit one little fancy place called Bijou which was a great meal but very French and not Florida. Lol

Yep. 10 till I have to turn south in Florida. Dang Florida took almost 8hrs to get through. Just hundreds of miles of worthless land out there.

If you're looking for a good meal that is easy to get to from 10 when you come through there get off at Battleship Parkway (exit 27 I think) and eat here... http://www.felixsfishcamp.com/Default.aspx Its just past the Battleship. I love eating there, enjoy it every time we go. Its right on the bay, beautiful view. Made to look like a dump from outside, but very nice inside.

Everything I've had there has been excellent and the service is top notch. Just little touches like when they bring your food they have however many servers is takes to set everyone at the table's food down in front of them at the exact same time, but still not stuffy and formal, just casual dress. A little pricey, but not out of line for that type of location and food quality, especially during the day with lunch and afternoon specials.

Nice little bar too with live music in the evenings. Usually a long wait in the evenings though.

Can stop back by after eating and let the kids tour the Battleship, they always love that, especially boys.

We went there once. It was great. We stopped at the battleship also. The planes are amazing and the little submarine was too cool. When we make an Orange Beach trip, it's a must detour. The wife keeps talking about going back to Felix's. It really was great.

If you didn't have the kids with you, there is cool little dive bar a mile or so on past Felix's on the opposite side of the causeway called Trader's. Got a boat dock out back and is a true old school bar. Just a couple tvs with sports going, strong drinks with no questions asked about how many you've had, everyone is cool, and best of all, you can smoke inside like the old days.

Telling you man, I just dig Alabama. Louisiana is where the industry is but Bama is great. Wish it wasn't 3 hours away. Lol
