All that biscuit talk got my craving up. Fixing breakfast for supper tonight. Bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy and eggs.

When I went to the Bay area the other week I bought breakfast at a Hobee's restaurant and my goodness! No wonder people are getting HUGE! Must have been 3 eggs (scrambled), links, potatoes, and then their 'signature blueberry coffee cake'. The coffee cake was huge like the biscuits you described. Like 4"x4"x3". How do people possibly eat that much food?? Much less go to work! lol

Don't eat at chains when you're on vacation, you can eat that at home. Look through Urban Spoon, Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc. and find the local places, dives, hole in the wall, what ever. That's where you're going to find memorable meals and good stuff.

I backpacked across the W/NW/Canada for 4 mos in summer 76 and that was pretty much dinner every night. lol Would throw in a can of peas for variation.
Needless to say I never eat mac n cheese anymore and rarely make tuna sammiches.

Sadly I agree with you guys and would definitely love to try out some new and unique places but the significant other is wayyyy too picky so he sticks with his stuff and I stick with mine

Eating at those places is really hard for someone like me as most have nothing I can eat. There are some around though if you look really hard.
