well, I guess I left the sarcasm smiley out...

the whole point was that it is LUCKY for you that the bumpers did NOY match up...you would NOT have walked away...

PLUS, all these folks that sre SUE happy need to get a life...pay the expenses, buy a new car, and something for your suffering(NOT SIX FIGURES) to get you by...

griping about lift laws goes the other way for lowering as well...

everyone have a nice day....

There are some people that say things that are so stupid and unthought out that it is just amazing. The shear fact that you would wish harm upon someone who has undergone something like this is absolutely ridicolous. Obviously you have never known anyone personally who has been in an accident as serious as this one. Everyone keeps saying "OMG I AM GLAD YOU ARE ALIVE!". This statement is alot truer than most people realize. You donkey doughnut do you realize that if the truck was doing 65, he may have died, or atleast paralized? would you come on this board then and trash talk? do the world a favour, put a band-aid on that foul cut under your nose, and grow some pubic hair fool!

I missed this one while I was deployed but I hope you have had a full recovery and have your new car. Hopefully you will get adequate compensation for the car and your injuries.

I will pass on commenting about niplguy.

i think instead of sending the guy to jail who hit you, you should park the cars in the same intersection, bind him to the back of the mustang to where his face hits juuuuuuust right with the bumper of the f350, and back up a few hundred feet or so and hit HIM at 50..... yeah..... that'll teach him for being stupid and almost taking somone elses life... you really are lucky man, and i'll reiterate what everyone else has said... thank god you walked away and that no one was in the back seat....

Glad to see you're ok and got a new ride! How you feeling a few months later?

P.S. What size tires you running? They look a little small.

Emilee, so GLAD to see you back in the saddle! How are you physically? I hope your neck and back are being monitored closely...

Oh, and 18's are a good size, I think they look small cuz they are blacked out. Nice ride girl!

i don't think they look small at all in person. I think it's just because the picture is really dark. I'll try to get another one.

I still go to the chiropractor 3-4 times a week. I maxxed out my insurance policy's $10,000 medical limits already... i think we are up to like $20k in medical costs so far. plus all the other little crap i incured.

The guy's jury trial is wednesday the 14th of this month.

We are still going through settlement processes with the insurance company so it could be a while.

275/30/18s have a smaller diameter than the stock tires, so they are small. Unless you meant 275/40/18 which are slightly smaller than stock. Smaller tires will definitely make your car lower too

I just found this thread, and wanted to pop in and say that I'm glad you came through as well as you did. It's a shame to hear about your problems after the accident (and the accident itself!), I can imagine you're under a lot of stress due to the medical expenses, the trial, insurance stuff, etc. What a pain. But at least you're alive and in one piece.

Secondly, that's a gorgeous car you got there. I'm glad to see you didn't lose any enthusiasm!

I wish you luck in getting everything back to normal, including yourself!

Is the dude going down? Already without a license and he pulls this. Coulda been a fatality - easily (if you weren't there, he'd have ploughed straight into the intersection, right?). Hopefully they'll lock him up and save someones life!

SO glad you're ok, though.
Fellow officer who worked with my husband was rear-ended by a guy (with a suspended license) in a smaller truck but going faster. His squad car looked somewhat like yours except the rear-end intruded into the drivers area and they ended up burying him. The guy ended up just being sentenced to I think only 5 yrs in jail even though he had multiple driving violations, suspensions on his record and was DUI (narcotics). :notnice:  :bang:  I am so glad you weren't killed or more seriously hurt. That back seat scares me but when I talked to my husband we figured a lot of cars' back seats would look similar in that instance. Still makes me want to load the kids only into the CRV and not the Mustang or the Corolla.

I'll second that on all counts!!!! Just be sure to stay away from F350's! Must be something about F350's, my '05 Focus was rear-ended in a MUCH less spectacular fashion by one.

I'll agree with this comment. I was working in a Toyota body shop when the RAV4 first came out and we had one come in almost right away with rear end damage. After removing the rear bumper skin, we discovered that there was no structural bumper underneath! When we enquired about it, we were told that small SUV's don't have to meet the same safety standrads that passenger cars do therefore, no structural bumpers, etc. I'd be surprised to find door beams in one of those 'sport cutes'! My .02, if you want to drive a truck, buy a truck... leave the car-based trucklets for those with nothign to live for.
