i was rear ended, by someone going 50 mph
if the truck would have been a bit LOWER, the bumper would have contacted the frame and catapulted the stang across the intersection=MORE damage and pain to the driver...the body crumpled and absorbed the shock.this was GOOD for you!
before you judge someone for LIFTING a vehicle, judge yourself for LOWERING one...make syou just as guilty as he....however, YOUR anger should be directed at the driver ONLY...that is the person at fault...sorta like blaming your oven for burning your dinner after you set the temp tto high or the timer too long...
for al those that are crying to SUE...it will just make YOUR insurance rates go up if she gets greedy....

I used to have a Dodge diesel that was really tall(ALL FACTORY STOCK), some female dog ran into me from behind...I was stopped at a red light, too...she broke the rear axle housing when her ENGINE BLOCK hit it...she was permenantly moved from the drivers seat to the rear floorboard(still belted) and her left arm was between the frame and bed of my truck. BTW, she was driving an 02 stang. Police estimated she was going 75 and there was NO skidmarks from her car. What she couldn't SEE my white pickup? I think she was on drugs. I walked away with MINOR whiplash and was back to work a few days later...her insurance company bought me a new vehicle, paid my meds costs, and gave me $4765 for pain/suffering/loss of wages.

He must be the guy that either hit her or owns the truck the moron was driving. If not then I Don't know what to say about someone who would come on here and make that kind of statement. Nothing I can say on here anyway. :notnice:

no, too bad the roles weren't reversed in your story, and the lady had hit YOU with the pickup, then the world would be rid of one less jerk.

If you are rear ended at high speed by a careless driver, it wouldn't matter who is driving what. Stop trying to turn this thead into a pickup truck driver/mustang driver debate. Some people just HAVE to stir the pot...
If the truck lift was illlegal in heighth and the truck driver had no license to drive like I think was stated before, she has every right to sue the truck driver because he broke the law and put lives at risk. She was very lucky to walk away from this, and even luckier that no on was in the back seat of the mustang.......I think she has a case, and I wish her well getting what she deserves. ....
St. Patricks Day , 1989, I was hit by a drunk driver while driving home from my job at a movie theatre. Her boyfriend was ejected from the passanger seat , as she turned right in front of me in an intersection. Neither had insurance, so I suesd in small claims court, so I could have my car fixed ( 1980 Datsun 510...no laughing please).....she hired a lawyer but I won the case 100%.......her license was revoked for a year ,and she paid me $5,000. I used it to fix the car.
That is why we have the system, yes people abuse the courts, but in this case.....she has every right to get what is owed to her from the truck driver..........

Emilee, like most others I am moved emotionaly by your current situation, hope your recovery goes ok, have someone you are close to and trust with you durring all important decisions, as if your like me, things go into a auto pilot mode when in pain and on pain killers, this is the time you need to be clear.
also be carefull with the pain meds, do some resurch on how common addiction to pain meds is, ask your doctor, it may be your biggest hurtle down the road.
those photos hit me hard,
a good friend lost her life last Easter in Florida in a similer rear-end crash, they were stoped at a light in a rental Dodge Stratus, she was in the back seat with her 3 yr old son on her lap, her doughter was next to her with another relitive, a lady in an Ford Expidition hit them at about 50mph, my friend was in her 20's no one else in car was criticaly injured,
the lady that hit them walked away from crash site (hit & run)

How hard is it to bite your tounge and ignore the person if they made a dumb comment.
I am glad Emilee is ok, lets leave it at that.
