Just ordered 3 qts of Amsoil Severe Gear 75-W140 rear axle fluid, Ford Racing friction modifier, a new axle seal, axle shaft bearing and a couple new C-clips.
Won't be able to get to it for over a week, but at least I'll have all new stuff to put in.

I love your blue engine detail, Dave. I'll have to get more info from you. I'm thinking about the same thing in red under my hood.
And at the risk of sounding like a moron, what exactly does the sound tube do?
All I know is that I had to move it when I installed my hood struts.

If you have Facebook, search Wicked Dipz. That's the guy that did mine.
Also, you should join NJStangers. You'll get all the info for meets and shows in the area. It's a great group of guys.

I had GT500 axlebacks installed today. The consensus 'round these parts is that they're the hot set-up both sound and price-wise. I agree. I'm glad I followed the advice.
All of my driving is done top-down so I can hear them loud and clear and they sound good at all speeds and ranges....deep and throaty and I can still afford my mortgage this month.
