Apologies for so many photos, but I'm rather pleased with this Finally got booked into a local (UK) company, Detail My Car. I'd been keeping an eye on their Facebook page, and was impressed with the great results on some high-end cars. The process consisted of a standard DMC wash routine, then machine polished in 2 (some areas 4) stages to remove as much in the way of swirls and scratches before finishing it off with Swissvax Best of Show Job done
Btw Paul, are you like me where, it's frustrating, when your paint is flawless and swirl free, over time, regardless of how well we take care of out paint, swirls and scratches still occur. I know it's from washing or waxing or dusting or etc. No matter how careful we are, it still scratches. It's a matter of how much it scratches. Even micro fine scratches build up over time . Ugh it sucks

Nice job Paul. Swissvax concorso I need to get some. It's been on my "to get" list for a long time.

The Mustang is a labour of love though and, for an almost 9 year old car, still scrubs up well

No, it's in the engine bay behind the battery inside the firewall. You need to remove two tabs and lift up on the plastic molding piece enough to access it. Here's some instructions from CJ Pony parts that are accurate.

I get the filters from a EBay seller - premierairfilters. They are carbon filled.

I just noticed there price went up a couple of bucks since I ordered my second one.
Yours may not be as bad because I know you don't use it as a daily driver.
Hope this helps

This. Our course is laid out on a runway, so it is long and narrow with turn arounds at both ends. I use SelectShift and start out in first and pretty quickly shift into second and normally leave it there. Today I tried something different on my third and fourth runs. I shifted into first at the turn arounds for better acceleration and it worked great. I got four runs, all clean and each run faster than the last. Overall I slashed about three second of my time. Had a blast.

Took Miss Scarlett to a graduation party. At the party the hostess brings their 10 year old neighbor Sam over to me. The hostess tells he had to meet the owner of the Boss. This kid precedes to talk to me about Bosses, Mustangs and some super cars for the next 45 minutes! He must have said about ten times that HE WILL own a Mustang! The whole conversation and pics on his phone and overall knowledge just warmed my heart! With the younger generation still infused with the love of muscle cars our beloved pony car will gallop on!

I drove my Mustang to visit a friend who restores cars (inside and paint outside). He showed me his new "before" project. I don't believe I have seen the pony ornament on the hood before......

TT....I agree that your car looks fantastic.
I returned from my road trip that covered southern Germany, Austria, Alps, Italy, Dolomites, Florence, Tuscan villas, The Venus, Real David, Fake David, fountains, guided tours, Rome, gladiators, ruins of empires, crazy italian drivers, no clear rules of the tiny road, language barriers, bad exchange rates, $100 for a half tank of gas, Italian Riviera, boat rides, Mediterranean Sea swimming, the island of Capri, tons of Gold leaf priceless art, wine, grapes, seafood right from the ocean, extraordinary amount of Asian tourists, hat/scarf/trinket peddlers, romance, nudity on almost every public beach, honkers, thumbs up, pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, History, Priceless memories made with the love of my life for the last 22 years, 1694 miles round trip, and over 1100 pictures just on the Cannon DSLR. All made possible by my trusty Mustang GT. I'm sure I forgot a ton of stuff but I'm hoping to capture it all in my build thread.
