What did you do with your Mustang today?

It's super easy, just a couple clips holding it in. Getting the boot started at the handle was probably the hardest part, it didn't want to go over the lip to come off.
The **** is a bit loose, I'm going to put some teflon tape on the threads to firm it up.

Ahh I love it! I can't wait for mine! I have the wheel and you have everything else lol
Did you **** come with the satin silver jamb nut? I already have a matte black one that I was going to use, but it would be cool if it comes with everything you need.

Yeah, it came with everything you see.
The only thing left to do is get some teflon on the threads, and I'll probably make up a quick spacer to go under the shift boot ring. There's just a bit of space between the jam nut and the top of the shifter so the boot can be pushed down a 1/4". It's not a huge issue as the boot pushes up against the nut but it bugs me so I'll toss that in there to make everything nice and tight.

Actually, I take the spacer part back. I got out the strap wrench and got it another turn tighter and the gap is gone, so no need to worry about that. It's just a bit tighter then the stock ****, I guess.

nice Joey! I might go this route sometime in the future too. I want to use my current jam nut and **** though. I wonder if the GT500 boot will still work in that application?

It should. I plan to do the MGW too, as you know, so we'll be doing the same thing just backwards. I'm still thinking about a silver or red **** like yours too...

I had a detail of a Honda Accord scheduled, but the client called to cancel due to the bad weather we are supposed to get in the next day or two. After going to Starbucks for coffee while the cleaning ladies were spiffing up the Casa DaGonz, I planned on organizing my detailing cabinet and starting to detail Mistress Lauren for Mustang show coming up on Sunday.
I decided to clean out and reorganize my storage shed instead and apply some Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Food to the lawn as it will get watered in by the aforementioned rains coming tonight and Wednesday. Mistress Lauren will get pampered and detailed on Thursday.

With the **** I have it's really just a retainer and not really a not (it's not threaded). It's pressed into the **** so you just screw the whole assembly on once the boot/console is installed.
But yes, the boot sits right below the jam nut/retainer. Assuming you have the smaller opening shift boot (that the Boss normally comes with) it fits right up with the Boss **** and retainer. I'm not sure if an aftermarket retainer/jam nut will work, but if it's the same specs as the Boss stuff then I don't see why it wouldn't.

Just ordered it a plug-and-play VMP fuel pump voltage booster
The first step in aiming for 610+ rwhp, since my fuel pump duty cycle is now at 96% over 5,000 RPM at WOT
Now looking for a good deal on a twin-65mm throttle body

Aaaand it looks like Late Model Restoration got the biz.
A new FRPP twin 65mm throttle body, and a new Roush lower grille delete, so the heat exchanger can finally get some air
Now I just need a slightly tweaked tune from JDM and I'll be at 600+ rwhp

Aren't you concerned? From what I recall, you are also on stock internals unless you modded something I didn't know you did.
For me, I am happy (have to be, unless I go forged) with ~ 575whp.
