Funny story today...

I've never really "pushed" the car hard since I tested WOT 2nd and 3rd gear last week since the new tune/mods were done. Even then, it was solely for testing purposes...

Well today, after my morning workout at the gym, a buddy wanted a ride, so I gave him one. It was an unusually cool 60 degrees this morning. Anyways, I gave him a ride and I actually pushed the car hard this morning. And wow, I even scared myself. The combination of throttle response, paired with the suspension improvements I did earlier this year really made a big difference in putting the power down. After a couple good runs where the tires were warmed up, the next few runs, I hardly got any spin from the tires. It was a split second if anything...then boom. Hook. It was crazy. I've never felt my car like this before or even driven anything like this before. I test drove a 12 Shelby back a few years ago...it was quick/torquey, but not like this. Maybe it was the cold air today too... LOL

In the end, I know there's a TON of other quicker cars than mine, I get that. I'm not saying mine the way it is, is that fast compared to others... but for me??? Dang. I was flabbergasted. My buddy enjoyed the ride as well.

p.s. my wife and I get to go on a date tonight... I am taking her in the car. I look forward to being punched in the gut, yet again.

From what I recall, you are also on stock internals unless you modded something I didn't know you did. For me, I am happy (have to be, unless I go forged) with ~ 575whp.
Haven't you seen his rearend? His gf drives a Shelby (not a Prius ahem! ) - Gabe is of the mentality of "race it, break it, upgrade it" warranty be dammned!

So many cars running over 600 whp, I want to be one of them.
If it breaks, I'll upgrade to Aluminator with 9.5 compression, T56 trans (which may already be in by then), and MORE boost

Half of my lowering kit should be in today. I didn't order the upper strut mounts yet.

Going to plastidip the strut tower brace again...tried painting with some enamel paint and it looks like hell (I apparently can't paint worth a ****). So I'll throw some dip on top to make it look decent again.

Darren congrats! I almost got that set up... but I steered away because they said the GC stuff is a little finicky, esp their C&C plates. It requires some cutting/grinding or something like that. But I heard good things overall.

Sounds like you're getting into the mod bug

no i'm just fed up with the stock shocks and struts. combined with the eibach i get better handling but i'm just tired of how the stock stuff is not kind to my undercarriage after lowering. Adjustability is something i always like to have as well.

Not MY Mustang, but on the girlfriend's Shelby this morning I installed a fold-down plate holder.
The hardware that came with it is pretty much a joke, but it's nice and solid on there

Also installed a new Clarion CZ302 CD player in her other car, the '03 Forester, to replace a head unit that would not eject a CD, would not play it, and was sounding horrible especially when using the tape adapter for the satellite tuner.
New unit, much better sound, works awesome, and the install kit/harness made the job super easy.
For a $100 head unit, it works and sounds awesome!

^ that's nice Gabe! just do what I do, and don't run with front plates If I do need it, like when I go to a certain part of the area, I ziptie them on the fronts then cut them loose once I get there.
