Will be driving past to Hackettstown actually today since that seems to be the most affordable area to find an apartment

I've always liked H'town. I lived there from '82 - '95 before I moved to Rockaway. On a light traffic day it's about a 20 minute drive from me.

Check out Mansfield Village on Rt 57 just outside H'town...follow Mountain Ave past Lowes and bear right. Mansfield Village is about a 1/4 mile on the right side. I don't know what it's like now, but when I lived there it was clean, affordable, and convenient to everything.

Although it may have changed, try to avoid Towpath Apartments on Rt 519 on the side of H'town....it's adjacent to M&M Mars. It was a bit trashy back in the day. Still worthwhile to check it out I suppose. Across the road is a nice apartment complex but the name escapes me....it's behind a small strip mall.

Hackettstown is home to Cops & Rodders....great cruise night every Thursday and they run several high quality shows each season.

What town are you working in?

I actually contacted Mansfield but they haven't gotten back to me, that one looks really great online. Its funny i actually went to an interview that Lowes lol

I looked up Towpath and it didn't look too bad but that was another complex that didn't contact me back.

I am actually going to Camelot at Woodfield but what worries is the fact that nothing is included but it is worth checking out at the price of $747/month. Not sure how much utilities / cable would run me but something to think about.

I got a temp job in Whitehouse Station NJ. Since it is temp, nothing is set in stone and just looking at my options. I have contacted a few apartment complexes in Washington/Washington Township but they have nothing availble to view.

I'm assuming you mean Washington in Warren County. There's a Washington in Morris County adjacent to Hackettstown on the other end.

Washington in Warren County (southwest of H'town) of puts you closer to Whitehouse Station and there are more major roads that'll get you back and forth.

Have you checked the Flemington area? There also might be some possibilities in towns surrounding Phillipsburg....Greenwich, Pohatcong, Lopatcong, etc. Those towns have easy access to Rt 78 which will take you right into the Whitehouse area. Stay away from Phillipsburg proper.

If you need any other tips or have questions, feel free to ask.

Good luck, and enjoy the drive today....low 60's. That's top down weather for me!!!

So i went a little crazy and went to 3 complexs.
Mansfield Village (was ok had ups and downs), Towpath (way too expensive for a 1 bedroom) and lastly which was my favorite whichwas Washington Gardens (Warren County). Absolutely loved the rural area and the complex was nice and definitely better maintenaned then Mansfield.
Definitely know what i want and now have to wait for that permanent job offer and get a place for me

Amazing how politically correct we've gotten. Watching Talladega Nights. When the movie came out, at one point the oldest boy yells (toward his dad, referring to the Frenchman) "send that queer bait back to Indonesia". They edited it on tv, and now they've even edited it on HBO to "send that weird man back to Indonesia".

I say exactly what i think as I always have but lately it is the cause of so many arguments and drama that I have just decided to keep to myself.

Yeah, but why are we worried about offending Old Scratch? The radio won't even let Charlie Daniels call him an SOB on "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". SMH.

Ha! Thank you! Today also marks my 11 year Anniversary with TMS. I remember as a 19th birthday to myself, I became a paid member after lurking during the release of the S197 in fall 2004.

Time goes fast.
